We are passionate about making our community and the world a better place for children so they can thrive.

We are devoted to serving the children in Henderson County through unique and innovative service projects and fundraising initiatives. The Kiwanis Club of Hendersonville was organized on March 24, 1921. For 100 years, the Club has been a force in supporting the children and youth of Henderson County through services for the needy, building future leaders through scholarships and by providing support to organizations that conduct programs promoting youth development. Our more than 100 members are dedicated to “improving the community one child at a time.”

The Kiwanis Club of Hendersonville is especially known for its Annual Apple Festival Pancake Breakfast, the Shoes and Socks program, which provides shoes and socks to underprivileged children from preschool through high school and our many youth leadership clubs throughout the Henderson County Public Schools. These wonderful programs have been traditionally financed through member contributions and community sponsorships of the events like the Bunny Hop (Shoes & Socks Program) Spell-A-Rama (Youth Leadership Program) and the Pancake Breakfast (All Kiwanis Programs). In addition, the Scholarship Program has been funded separately and provides multiple opportunities for students to succeed every year. To learn more about the Club and ways to get involved, please email [email protected] or visit HendersonvilleKiwanis.org. Be sure to LIKE this page to keep up with the Club's events!

"This club is amazing" - our 2026-27 Club President Marcus Jones started the new Kiwanis year off at our Annual Banquet this past Thursday with a dose of inspiration and positivity 🙌

As we concluded our 105th year of serving the children and youth of Henderson County, we honored our outgoing Club President Robert Hooper and recognized our John Grear Kiwanian of the Year - past club president and outgoing Service First Committee Co-Chair Erika McGilley 🎉

We also heard from our new Carolinas District of Kiwanis Governor Steve Corbett who unveiled our 2026-27 theme 'Rooted in Service Rising Together' 🌱 reminding us that it takes all of us working together to improve our communities, one child at a time.

If you want to be a part of something amazing - come check us out! We meet at lunch and in the evening, to meet you exactly where you are 🤝
