Big week ahead for Hendersonville Rotary! 🚲🧹

📅 November 5th - Wheels in Motion at Whitten Elementary School
We're celebrating our young riders! Rotarians will be on hand presenting bikes and cheering on students who've shown hard work and great character. There's nothing like seeing a kid's face light up over a brand new set of wheels.

📅 November 7th - Roadside Cleanup
Grab your gloves and join us at Mallard Point Park at 8 AM as we get hands-on to keep Hendersonville looking its best. Service Above Self means showing up for our community, one stretch of road at a time.

Both events are a great reminder of why we do what we do, real impact, right here at home. Want to join us or learn more about getting involved? There's always a seat at the table.

We had the pleasure of recognizing two firefighters whose leadership is making a difference within our local fire department! 🚒👏

Rotarian Don Ward presented the First Responder of the Quarter Awards to Firefighters Stringer and Cowan in recognition of their outstanding leadership with the in-house Fire Academy and their commitment to helping prepare and train fellow firefighters.

They were also joined by Assistant Chief Hannah for this special recognition.

Firefighters Stringer and Cowan, thank you for the time, knowledge, and dedication you invest in your fellow first responders. Your leadership helps strengthen the team that works every day to keep our community safe.

Please join us in congratulating these two deserving firefighters!

👟 Have a few pairs of shoes sitting in your closet that could use a new home? Here's your chance to put them to good use!

Our Hendersonville Rotary Club is joining clubs across District 6760 for another Soles4Souls Shoe Collection, and we'd love your help!

Last spring, our district collected nearly 3,000 pairs of shoes. This fall, we're coming together to see if we can beat that number! 🙌

From October 14 through November 11, we're collecting lightly worn, clean shoes to help give them a second life and make a difference for others.

Here's how you can help:
👟 Donate clean, lightly worn shoes with no holes.
🛍️ Place each pair in an individual plastic bag for easy packing and transportation.
🤝 Spread the word! Invite friends, family, local businesses, schools, and churches to participate.
And there's a little friendly Rotary competition involved! District Governor Jeff Brasher will award $250 to the club that collects the most shoes. 🏆

Every pair counts, so start checking those closets and help us make this year's collection even bigger than the last!

See Rotarian Becky Caldwell for more details.

There's nothing quite like seeing familiar faces back at Rotary! 💛

We were so happy to welcome Don Claussen and Milton Curtis back to our Wednesday morning meeting following their surgeries!

Both have been missed, and it was wonderful to see them back among friends and enjoying the fellowship that makes our Rotary family so special.

Don and Milton, we're glad to have you back and wish you both continued strength and healing as you recover! 🤝

A little teamwork goes a long way!

This past weekend, our Hendersonville Rotarians rolled up their sleeves and spent some time giving back at the Sumner County YMCA!

From trimming trees to working alongside fellow Rotarians, it was a great opportunity to get outside, lend a hand, and take care of a place that means so much to our community.

A big thank you to all of our Rotarians who volunteered their time and helped with this project! We appreciate your willingness to show up, work together, and put Service Above Self into action. 🤝

Good conversations, familiar faces, and a few ways to give back are on the agenda for Hendersonville Rotary this week! 🤝

Join us Wednesday morning as we welcome Sheri Traxler with ViREO Life, who will be sharing a presentation titled "Get Energized (Without Living on Lattes)." ☕ We're looking forward to hearing her insights!

We also have a couple of important reminders for our Rotary family:

👟 Soles4Souls Shoe Collection – Our collection continues through November 11! Don't forget to bring your clean, lightly worn shoes to help us give them a second life.

🤝 Membership Drive – We're in the final week of our Membership Drive, which wraps up October 31! If you know someone who shares our passion for community and service, invite them to join us at a meeting and experience Rotary firsthand.

Whether you're a longtime Rotarian or thinking about joining us for the first time, there's always a seat at the table!

Celebrating another incredible educator in our community! 🍎📚

Congratulations to Hollie Badacour of Knox Doss Middle School at Drakes Creek on being recognized as our Educator of the Month! 👏

Rotarian Todd Parrish had the pleasure of presenting Hollie with her award, and we were happy to have Principal Mitch Flood join us for the recognition!

We love having the opportunity to recognize the teachers who make a difference in the lives of students every day. Hollie, thank you for all you do for your students and our community!

🍂 What a wonderful Saturday at FallFest at the Barn! 🎃

From the laughter and excitement of the kiddo races to the adorable pups showing off their costumes, live music, delicious food, and so many smiling faces, we couldn't have asked for a better day with our Sumner County community!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who came out to spend the day with us! Seeing families, friends, and neighbors come together to enjoy FallFest is what makes this event so special.

To our incredible Rotarians who volunteered their time, worked behind the scenes, helped with activities, and made sure everything came together, THANK YOU! Events like this wouldn't be possible without your dedication and willingness to serve. 🤝

We're also grateful to our local vendors, sponsors, and everyone who helped bring FallFest to life!

We loved seeing our community come together for a day of fun, fellowship, and making memories, all while supporting the service projects that allow Hendersonville Rotary to give back throughout the year.

Thank you, Sumner County, for another wonderful FallFest at the Barn! Until next time! 🍁

A big thank you to Andy Gilley, Parks Director for the City of Hendersonville, for joining us at our club meeting last week! 🙌

Andy shared some great updates with our club, including a little more about PigFest, which kicks off TONIGHT! 🐷

One of the things we love most about PigFest is the way it brings our community together while supporting some incredible local nonprofits, including a few that our club is proud to support as well!

We love seeing our community show up for one another, and we hope everyone gets out to enjoy PigFest this weekend!

Thank you again, Andy, for spending your morning with us!

A little hard work, a lot of generosity, and a space that's ready to better serve students! 💛

Our Rotary family recently came together to help refresh and organize this care cabinet at one of our local schools, and we're so grateful for everyone who played a part!

A special thank you to Francis, Sandra, and Dale for rolling up their sleeves to paint, clean, install shelves, and help create an organized and welcoming space for students.

And to all of our Rotarians who donated snacks, hygiene products, and other everyday essentials, thank you! Your generosity helped fill those shelves with items students can turn to when they need them most.

From the hands that helped prepare the space to the donations that helped stock it, this project is a wonderful example of what happens when our Rotary family comes together to serve.

Thank you to everyone who helped make it happen! 🤝
