We do this through two online groups — Genesis Leader and Awaken — to give people the tools, skills and confidence to help others meet Jesus.

Gail and I had the pleasure of leading a workshop at the LCMS Equip Conference in Orlando, Florida this week! 💼

Together, we explored a hopeful truth: the people around us are often more open to spiritual conversations than we think.

➡️ And what they ask of us as Christians is simple: listen well, engage in authentic conversations, and build real relationships.

We’re grateful for everyone who joined us, and we’re excited to see how God works through you as you bring what you learned back to your communities!

From Norfolk to Encinitas, it’s been a joy to meet so many people these last few weeks who are taking steps to share Jesus with the people around them! 🙌

At Our Savior Lutheran Church in Norfolk, Nebraska, a new group gathered in person to begin their 9-month journey through Genesis Leader. We had the privilege of joining their kickoff over Zoom, and it was a blast!

We also traveled to St. Mark Lutheran Church in Encinitas, California, to guide a group through Awaken. 💬 They spent the weekend practicing how to start conversations about Jesus with friends, family, and others in their community.

We’re so grateful for each of you and excited to see how God works through you in the weeks to come!

Fear keeps too many Christians from sharing the Good News of Jesus with the people around them. But here’s the truth: God is already at work before you ever take that step.

He’s working in you. He’s working in the other person. And He’s preparing moments you could never arrange yourself. 🚪

Our responsibility isn’t to control the conversation or manufacture an outcome. It’s simply to be available. To listen. To love. To trust the Holy Spirit.
