Henderson Texas Lions Club We serve in helpful activities for our community. We meet at First Baptist Church Activity Building on Wednesday at noon for lunch and meetings.

We raise money for the Lions Camp for the children with vision issues or other disabilities.

At our last meeting we welcomed Mr. Jimmy Terry as our guest speaker. Mr. Terry is the Managing Director of Wild Spring Dunes in Mt. Enterprise. He shared information, photos, and details about the exciting new multi-million-dollar golf course and resort development.
Mr. Terry was joined by:
•Cale Burnett, Founder and Sales Coordinator
•Tracy Harris, Director of Real Estate
•Willie Hammond, Real Estate Sales
•Ella Jackson, Member Services Coordinator
Mr. Terry also discussed the vision and progress of the project which is currently expected to open in September.
The Wild Spring Dunes was designed by Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, whose work is renowned for blending natural landscapes with strategic challenging course designs while maintaining great respect for the land.
The owner is Michael Kaiser of Chicago.
The architect is Tom Doak, who is widely recognized as one of golf’s most respected course architects.
Golf is a highly respected game as it includes honesty, integrity, and sportsmanship.

Baxter Whitworth spoke with Lion’s Club the last meeting about his Podcast. The name of it is Cattle Innovation Station. The podcast discusses ways that cattle producers can be more efficient in terms of operations and profitability.
Baxter is a very impressive young man. He’s 15, involved in Calvary Baptist Church Youth Group, a Full Armor FFA Member, Rusk County 4-H Member, as well as Texas Junior Brahman Association Director. He also serves as a Texas 4-H Youth Livestock Ambassador and a Texas FFA Foundation Ambassador.
