Today at Texas 4-H Roundup, 4-H members, parents, and volunteers are participating in the State 4-H Clothing and Textiles community service project, “Quilts of Valor.”
Participants can spend the afternoon sewing quilt squares that will be assembled into quilts and presented at the 2027 Texas 4-H Roundup to honor our nation's veterans.

Rusk County 4-H members Trinity Patterson and Katherine Rodriguez proudly joined the project, creating beautiful quilt squares while giving back through service. Their efforts reflect the 4-H values of leadership, citizenship, and community involvement.

We are proud of these young ladies for representing Rusk County 4-H and contributing to a meaningful project that will make a lasting impact. 💚🍀🇺🇸

Congratulations to Abigail Clifton on her incredible achievement at the Texas 4-H Fashion Show!🍀🪡🧵

On June 2, 2026, Abigail was recognized on stage during the evening assembly and awarded 2nd Place 🥈 in the Construction Category – Theatre/Costume Division.

For her project, Abigail created a cosplay inspired by Tomioka Giyuu from Demon Slayer. She designed and constructed the outfit herself, including hakama-style pants and a sh*tage shirt made from 100% cotton. Her attention to detail, creativity, and sewing skills truly shined throughout the competition.

We are so proud of Abigail's hard work, dedication, and talent. Congratulations on this outstanding accomplishment and on representing Rusk County 4-H with excellence!

State validations are quickly approaching. If you ordered state validation tags for heifers, steers, lambs, or goats, you must attend one of these validations. If you have a conflict, it is YOUR responsibility to contact us well in advance to make arrangements.
Remember to bring your registration papers for heifers, or if you are showing another registered animal. A parent must be present at validation to sign paperwork.
