From an airshow to a real-world rescue. An Alaska Air National Guard HH-60W Jolly Green II crew and Pararescuemen quickly diverted from Arctic Thunder to rescue a Cessna 185 pilot near Anchorage.

A successful mission—and another reminder that Rescue Warriors are always ready to answer the call. That Others May Live.

On August 10, Air Force Rescue answered the call after a Navy MH-60S Seahawk made a hard landing in mountainous terrain near China Lake, California.

Airmen from the 355th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron generated two HH-60W Jolly Green IIs in less than 30 minutes, enabling the 88th Test and Evaluation Squadron to launch the rescue.

By 3:50 p.m., all five Sailors were safely extracted.

Maintainers. Aircrew. Pararescue. One team, ready when it mattered most.
