Children’s Heart Foundation is committed to making a difference in the lives of children with heart conditions. Big ♥s Helping Little ♥s!

It’s important for all children to laugh and play, especially those born with lifelong medical conditions. We at Children’s Heart Foundation are committed to the well-being of these Nevada children. We serve children from prenatal up to 25 years old and their families. Heart problems in children are surprisingly common. They are, in fact, the most common type of birth defect and the number one cause of death during the first year of life. Nearly twice as many children die from congenital heart disease in the United States each year as die from all forms of childhood cancers combined. In Nevada alone, more than 350 children are born each year with significant heart disease requiring either intensive medications or surgery. An additional 150 to 250 of Nevada’s children and newborns may develop a heart problem due to infections, Kawasaki disease or Rheumatic fever. Hundreds more will exhibit problems with heartbeat irregularities requiring medications or specialized procedures. Children’s Heart Foundation was founded by a unique and passionate group of parents and Nevada pediatric cardiologists who have gained firsthand knowledge of the emotional and financial toll exacted by a child’s heart condition. All are eager to provide appropriate services for heart children and their families.

We’re still over the moon about our Inaugural Northern Nevada Walk with the Heart of a Child!

Seeing so many Heart Warriors, families, friends, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters come together for our very first Northern Nevada Walk was something truly special.

21 teams ❤️ 200 participants ❤️ $20,050 raised

We couldn’t have asked for a better beginning, and we’re so grateful to everyone who helped make it a day we’ll never forget. Northern Nevada, you have our hearts! ❤️

What an incredible day for our Inaugural Northern Nevada Walk with the Heart of a Child!

We are still feeling so much gratitude for the 21 teams and 200 participants who came together to walk, celebrate, and honor Northern Nevada’s heart warriors and the families who love them. Together, you helped raise an amazing $20,050 to support Nevada heart families! ❤️

With perfect weather and a beautiful setting, the day was filled with so many special moments: from walking together in honor of our littlest hearts to activities for the kids, incredible raffle prizes, and simply enjoying time together as a heart community.

A heartfelt THANK YOU to our sponsors whose generosity helped bring this inaugural event to life, and to our amazing volunteers who gave their time, energy, and hearts to make the day possible. We truly could not have done it without you.

And to each of our 21 teams, thank you for showing up, raising funds, sharing your stories, and reminding our heart warriors and their families that they are surrounded by an entire community cheering them on.
