Pray for Mercy

Pray for Mercy Mercy is our miracle girl! Even though her doctors refer to her as their “mysery patient” because her symptoms are so unique, she continues to beat the odds!

Mercy is a bit of a medical mystery. Basically, she has an auto-immune disorder that was triggered by the Epstein-Barr virus (mono) when she was just two-years-old. As a result, she has developed a constant tremor in her right food as well as seizures. OUR GOD IS ABLE! BELIEVE WITH US FOR A MIRACLE! HE WILL BE GLORIFIED THROUGH THIS!

We finally got the results back from Mercy’s EEG last month. Mercy’s seizure specialist said that the EEG showed that the left side of her brain has abnormal spikes in her brain waves. This is the side of the brain that is controlling the seizures that cause her right leg to go numb (focal seizures).

We are still unsure about what is causing her (almost) daily grand mal seizures. But for now, her neurologist has decided to prescribe yet another anti-seizure medication to add to her current “cocktail” of meds. She will now be taking a total of 4 anti-seizure medications.

Our prayer is that she wouldn’t be on ANY meds and her body would be seizure free! Thank you for continually praying for our girl for many many years!!! We appreciate the love and support so very much!

This is our sweet Mercy girl. She’s been coughing for over a week now and sleeps sitting up due to the intensity of her cough. We were able to see the doctor today who ordered a chest x-ray. She has developed pneumonia and an ear infection. Please pray that the coughing will subside quickly so she can get the rest that she needs and be able to sleep laying down again!
