As we enter the New Year with renewed strength, we’re taking a moment to reflect on how our community helped make the holiday season so special for the individuals and families we serve. From the filling all our Giving Tree wishes at Downtown Bakery & Creamery and St Paul's Episcopal Church of Healdsburg to receiving homemade cookies, gift cards, and gift baskets on Christmas Day for everyone in our shelter, we are so incredibly grateful!

With full hearts and a clear mission, we are ready for 2026!

This holiday season we've set up two Giving Trees in Healdsburg! If you’re out shopping local this weekend, please stop by our dear friends at Downtown Bakery & Creamery and St Paul's Episcopal Church of Healdsburg to see the wishes.

Each wish will help support an individual or family in our housing programs. You just pick a tag, shop the wishes, and check the tag for delivery instructions!

This year’s Giving Tree program will run until 12/20. Thank you for helping us spread warmth and joy during this special time of year!🎄 ✨

This morning we had a mighty crew of more than 20 volunteers help pack and deliver meals to participants in our housing programs and to those still experiencing homelessness in Northern Sonoma County. 130 meals were gifted today and we wouldn’t be more grateful for the support of our incredible community! Special thanks to Alexander Valley Vineyards for always providing a beautiful space to cook and pack these delicious meals.

Wishing everyone a safe and happy Thanksgiving! 💙

The new HUD guidelines will impact the entire system of care in Sonoma County and across the country, making it harder to reach functional zero by the end of next year in Windsor, Healdsburg, and Cloverdale.

We decreased our unsheltered population in Northern Sonoma County by over 70% in the last 5 years by meeting people where they are, building trust, creating stability, and encouraging each person to get the help they need to recover. This could end the ability to do this, and depending on how dollars flow, will limit the funding available for services we currently offer. It is significantly more expensive for the community to use law enforcement and jails to criminalize homelessness than it is to house someone with case management support.

Some of the highlights of the changes to HUD guidelines are attached, including the Press Democrat article.

As the Trump administration takes aim at “housing first” programs for homeless individuals, up to $4.2 million in permanent supportive housing funds is on line in Sonoma County.

Students from West Side Elementary hosted a sock drive for Reach for Home and presented us with a huge collection at their Halloween parade! Thanks to their Socktober efforts, we’ve replenished our supplies for the cold winter ahead. Wishing everyone a safe and happy Halloween! 🎃💙

Since 2020, Reach for Home has decreased homelessness in Northern Sonoma County by over 70%. Hear the voices and stories of those we serve and meet some of the staff making this work possible. This mission video premiered last week at our Harvest of Hope, and we're honored to now share it with the whole community!

Special thank you to ZP Productions for capturing the heart of our mission 💙

We're so grateful to everyone who contributed to Harvest of Hope and helped make it such an impactful celebration of our mission and journey to zero. Thanks to the generosity of our community, we raised more than $250,000 to support our mission and programs! And because we maintain a 10% or less expense rate, that means 90% of funds raised are going directly to our organization for immediate support.

From the delicious Pizza Degen (crowd-favorite = mushroom!), specialty cocktails, and local wines to the fun games, inspiring stories, and an energetic live auction - this event was truly unforgettable. A HUGE thank you to all our sponsors, volunteers, and committee members that helped make this event possible - we truly couldn't have done this without you!

A special thank you to Cynthia Glassell Photography for so beautifully capturing the spirit and heart of the event. And a massive thank you to all our local friends for helping make our event beautiful and delicious:
