San José is getting its first pro volleyball team, and Local Color is painting the moment 🎨🏐

Free & family-friendly

MLV NorCal, Northern California’s first professional women’s volleyball team, is throwing a free Fan Fest to celebrate, and Local Color studio member Sasha Chavez (❤️ Sasha 🦁) is painting live on-site, referencing San José’s skyline and local landmarks as it happens.

The event is free and family-friendly, with volleyball activities, giveaways, and a major announcement about the franchise’s future. The first 200 fans get a free MLV NorCal hat.

Join us at Big Arts for Painting with Santiago, an all-ages workshop where families, friends, and neighbors are invited to give discarded canvases a second life.
 
Every canvas was thrifted or donated to Local Color’s Creative Outlet. Now it’s your turn to add another chapter to its story.
 
Led by Gilroy-raised, self-taught artist Santiago Moreno (Santiago Moreno / destensartworld), this workshop is for everyone. No experience needed, and all ages are welcome.
 
Bring your kids. Bring a friend. Bring yourself. Just bring your curiosity.
