The Harwinton Woman's Club is a diverse group of community leaders who work locally to create change globally! We are mothers, sisters, daughters, wives.

We are a part of an organization called the Greater Federation of Women's Clubs, GWFC. We are involved in many community activities supporting the arts, preserving natural resources, advancing education, promoting healthy lifestyles, encouraging civic involvement, and working toward world peace and understanding. http://www.gfwc.org/gfwc/About_GFWC.asp

We meet the First Wednesday of each month. October through May. Please join us for one of our monthly meeting to truly understand who we are and what we are about! We look forward to meeting you.

Last week several of our members enjoyed a Walk at Sessions Woods on picturesque fall day! Come join us at our next meeting on November 4th at 7:00 pm in the town hall to see what our club is all about and how you can be a part of GFWC.

Stop on by, say hello and get your tickets for our beautiful quilt! We will be at the Harwinton Fair all weekend! Don't miss the opportunity at this one is a kind "We The People" in honor of the nations 250th anniversary.

If your cannot make it to the fair, reach out and we will drop off/mail your ticket stubs and fill out your information.

Tickets are $4.00 each.

All money raised goes to 2 scholarships for graduating students and to the community!

Tonight, Susan B. Anthony held their annual candlelight vigil at Coe Park in Torrington, honoring the lives lost to domestic violence.

Harwinton Women’s Club was once again honored to stand alongside our community in remembrance, support, and solidarity.

October marks Domestic Violence Awareness Month. A time to remember those whose lives have been lost, support survivors, and raise awareness about the devastating impact of domestic violence.

We remember.
We honor.
We stand together.
STAND UP
SPEAK UP

GFWC CT members attending New England Region Conference this weekend signed their pledge to Stand up, speak up, and show up for survivors of domestic and sexual abuse.

Take the pledge and share on your socials to show survivors that they aren’t alone.

It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

Our “We the People” Quilt Raffle Tickets are now available!

As always, this year’s quilt is absolutely beautiful! It was made with love and is completely hand-sewn and appliquéd by current and former members of the Harwinton Women’s Club.

Tickets are $4.00 each

Even better, your support gives back to our community! Proceeds from the raffle help provide scholarships to local students and support programs and organizations throughout our beautiful community. 💕🇺🇸

25 years, 9,131 days, 13,148,640 minutes between 8:46 AM on September 11, 2001, and 8:46 AM on September 11, 2026. Life ended for so many that day, and lives continue to be impacted. The Harwinton Women's Club honored 9/11 this morning with flags on the green, and waving as people passed. Please take a moment today to do something kind. Take an extra moment to hug a loved one, smile at a stranger. Put your differences aside for one day, and most importantly, Never Forget.

We started our year off strong with our first meeting on Wednesday at the town hall. We are looking forward to another amazing year in love, friendship and community.

Some of our ladies were busy at the Forevergreen Garden, at Harwinton Consolidated school! We are so happy spring has finally arrived! There is also a little free library at keep stocked. A great place to grab a book and read in the garden.
