An Update from Nepal, and How Help Is Reaching Families
Last week we shared that our shelter in Nepal was safe even as the country reeled from a catastrophic flood. This week we can tell you more, including how our partners on the ground are already reaching displaced families, and how you can be part of that relief.

Our Nepal Shelter Is Safe — Please Pray for Those Who Are Not
We have heard from our shelter leadership in Nepal. The shelter is safe, and the children are safe. But the surrounding region has been devastated. We are asking for your prayers — for the families who have lost everything, and for those who are going to meet them where they are.

The Votes Are In
The votes are in. 28 people weighed in on which trips would headline this year's Project Nic Benefit Auction — and we've got an upset. Alaska unseated last year's champion, and a storybook village in the Smokies took the weekend getaway. Here's what's coming to the auction on October 25th. Start planning your bid.

🎟️ The 50/50 raffle is live.

Here's how it works: every ticket grows the pot. On November 8, we draw one name. That person takes home half. The other half goes straight to work for kids and families.

The more people play, the bigger it gets — for the winner and for the mission.

Last year's pot: $883. Let's beat it.

Tickets:

Every ticket grows the pot. The night of the auction we draw a winner who walks away with half the money. The other half goes straight to Project Nic.

Give Hope, Give Home Again: Donate to This Year's Project Nic Benefit Auction
Last year, a room full of donated items became something bigger than the sum of its parts. Gift baskets and getaways, handmade pieces and gift cards, experiences that someone offered simply because they wanted to help, all of it added up to real funds for the more than 330 children

Back-to-School Around the World
For a lot of families, this is the season of fresh notebooks and first-day photos, the small rituals that mark the start of another school year. It's easy to picture it as one shared moment, but across our shelters, back-to-school doesn't arrive on a single calendar. For some of the

Shelter Update: Building More Room for What Matters
Building More Room for What Matters

Something is being built in Myanmar.

It isn't finished yet. The second floor is still a work in progress — brick walls rising between concrete columns, rebar reaching upward, construction materials spread across the floor. There is still work to be done.

But the story behind these

Can My Gift Even Make a Difference?
It's a question many people carry quietly.
Can my gift actually make a difference?
Not everyone asks it out loud. But it's there.

Sometimes it sounds like:
It's not enough to matter.
Other people can give more.
I'll wait until I can do something bigger.
It's an understandable thought.

But it's also not how this kind of work

A monthly gift of $39 can provide full care for one child for an entire month. Here's how small, consistent giving builds something much larger than any one gift.

The trails were perfect. The shirts were printed. The medals were ready — a first for Run for Shelter. Then came the rain. And more rain. We made the hard call to cancel. But 64 incredible supporters chose to leave their registration fees as donations — and together, we still raised $5,027.64 for the children. Here's what happened.👇

The 2026 Run for Shelter never made it to the starting line — but 64 generous supporters turned a rainout into more than $5,000 for children in Project Nic shelters. Here's the full story.
