Week 144 – Share the Hope Cass County Jail Ministry

Grateful doesn’t even begin to describe it. Week after week, our amazing ministry team steps into maximum security, medium security, the women’s unit, and even Juvie—carrying nothing but the love of Jesus and a desire to remind every person they encounter that they are seen, valued, and never forgotten.

These volunteers show up with hearts wide open, offering hope in places that often feel hopeless. I’m so thankful for each person who serves faithfully, listens patiently, and loves deeply.

Lately we’ve been walking through the Armor of God, and it’s been powerful watching each man choose the piece that resonates most with him—whether it’s the Belt of Truth, the Shield of Faith, the Breastplate of Righteousness, or the Sword of the Spirit. Hearing why they choose each piece has opened doors for honest conversations, healing, and real spiritual growth.

Thank You, God, for the privilege of being inside these walls with these men, women, and juveniles. Thank You for letting us be vessels of Your hope and light—week after week, year after year.

🙏 Week 130 at the Cass County Jail 🙏

Tonight we had an amazing Bible study together around Romans 12:2 – “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

We asked the question: Are you living conformed, or transformed?
The men shared so much wisdom, and it was powerful to hear how God is reshaping lives from the inside out.

We’re praying that each one continues to choose transformation over conformity, walking in the new life only Christ can give.

✝️ Week 129 – Cass County Jail Ministry ✝️

Last night we had the privilege of sharing about baptism with the men and women inside the Cass County Jail. 🙌

Baptism is an outward sign of an inward change—a way of showing that our old life is gone and a new life in Jesus has begun (2 Corinthians 5:17). It doesn’t save us—Jesus does!—but it shows the world that we belong to Him (Ephesians 2:8-9).

Even more exciting, we were able to baptize four young men who had accepted Christ in their lives over the past few weeks. Each of them received a baptism certificate, and the joy on their faces was incredible to witness. 🙏❤️

We are praying for true life transformation to take root here in the Cass County Jail—that these steps of faith would be the beginning of lasting change.

Let’s keep encouraging one another to:
📖 Follow Jesus daily
🙏 Pray and read His Word
🤝 Walk together in faith
💪 Keep growing in Him

God is moving powerfully week after week. Thank you for your prayers and support!

Week 128

Reflecting back on tonight in the jail, we witnessed the powerful presence of the Holy Spirit. One man broke down as he shared about losing hope, yet found himself in the perfect position for a life change through Christ. Every man in the group rededicated his life to Jesus, and in the juvenile detention center, three young men gave their lives to Christ tonight! 🙌

We are praying for true life transformation inside Cass County Jail. God is moving in hearts, and His promises are our covering.

“Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty… He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” (Psalm 91)

All glory to God! ✝️

What an amazing night at Cass County Jail!
Tonight, in our Share the Hope Cass County Jail Ministry, we dove deep into the meaning of Zion—its Old Testament roots, its New Testament promise, and what it means for us today.

God moved in a powerful way. One man in medium security and one youth in the juvenile detention center gave their hearts to Jesus! 🙌

This is why we go—because Jesus is still setting people free behind bars. Praise God for Jesus in jail!

“Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever.” – Psalm 125:1

Tonight at Share the Hope Jail Ministry, we dove into our Zion study guide—and wow, what an incredible night!

It was powerful to hear so many of the men share that they’re reading the Bible for the first time and truly understanding it with the support of their fellow brothers in Christ.

Several opened up about past struggles with addiction and even cult involvement. They know firsthand what darkness looks like—but now, they’ve confidently surrendered their hearts to Jesus. Through this study, they are allowing God—the true King of Zion—to reign in their hearts.

Pray with us that these men continue to grow in faith, walk in freedom, and experience the hope and transformation that only Christ can bring!

Week 124 with Share the Hope Cass County Jail Ministry

This week was testimony night inside Cass County Jail. We began reading from Psalm 62 and 63, but the Lord quickly redirected our time together. Instead of staying in the passage, He led me to open up and share different parts of my own testimony—pieces of my journey, my struggles, and how God has been faithful through it all.

As I shared, you could feel the atmosphere shift. The men were listening closely, and the Spirit was at work softening hearts. Some of them became really vulnerable, opening up in ways that don’t always happen in that setting. It was powerful to watch God use my story to remind them that He’s present in their story too.

Please keep praying for these men—that what God started tonight would grow deeper, and that they would continue to find their hope, strength, and identity in Him.

Week 121 with Share the Hope Cass County Jail Ministry

Tonight’s study was powerful. We dove deep into the truth of justification and sanctification—what they mean, how we are justified through Christ, and what the process of sanctification looks like in our daily lives.

These men showed up with real struggles and real questions, and I truly believe God met them right where they are. You could feel the Holy Spirit working as clarity and hope began to take root in their hearts.

Please keep praying for these men—that they would walk in the freedom and transformation Christ offers. Sanctification isn’t a moment, it’s a journey, and these men are taking steps each day.

Grateful to walk with them. 🙏

Week 116 — Cass County Jail Ministry

This week we had an amazing discussion on wisdom — not just what the world calls wisdom, but true biblical wisdom. We talked about how wisdom is more than just knowing facts — it’s the right application of knowledge. It’s taking what we learn from God’s Word and putting it into practice in our daily choices, words, and actions.

Knowledge fills the mind, but wisdom shapes the heart and directs our steps. The men shared how they want to break free from old habits and live with true understanding and godly discernment.

Watching them lean in and desire to apply wisdom to their lives reminds us that God freely gives wisdom to all who ask Him.

Pray with us that these men keep growing, applying what they learn, and walking in freedom and purpose through Christ.

Proverbs 4:7 — “Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.”

Week 115 — Share the Hope Cass County Jail Ministry

Tonight we had the privilege of baptizing 4 men in the Cass County Jail. What started as a plan to baptize just one man turned into three more stepping forward after a heartfelt study on what baptism truly means.

Hearing each man share his testimony before being baptized was deeply moving — a powerful reminder that God is still in the business of transforming hearts and bringing hope where there once was none.

We rejoice with these men and continue to pray they walk boldly in the new life they have found in Christ.

Thank you for your prayers and support — together, we are sharing the hope of Jesus behind these walls!

Share the Hope Cass County Jail Ministry // Week 114

Last night was powerful. 🙌

We never even made it to the lesson I had planned—and honestly, that’s becoming my favorite part of this ministry. We opened with one simple question:
“What’s something in your life you’ve had a tough time deciding on?”

That one question unlocked a flood of real, raw conversations:
➡️ Spiritual gifts and vocational trades
➡️ The pain of losing parents at a young age
➡️ How unprocessed trauma can lead to a lifetime of poor decisions

Once again, my “nice” plan got left behind… and God’s plan showed up in full force. I love walking into that jail week after week, watching hearts soften, healing begin, and Jesus take the lead.

Keep praying for these men. Transformation is happening behind those walls. 🙏
