We had such a fun evening with Veronica Beard! ❤️ I was honored to attend their Give Back event, where they are supporting Strive for Life Foundation and our mission to help remove the financial barrier to heart screenings for young people.

And the good news is… the giving continues! 🎉

Veronica Beard is keeping the event open for the next couple of weeks, so if you’ve been looking for something new, this is a great time to shop. 20% of proceeds from purchases will be donated back to Strive for Life Foundation.

Today is about protecting young hearts.

We’re proud to partner with My HeartCheck and Mercy Hospital Carthage to help make comprehensive heart screenings more accessible to kids and young adults in our community.

Through the support of the Strive for Life Foundation, today’s HeartCheck is helping families look beyond what can be seen or heard during a routine physical—using an ECG, echocardiogram, health history, and pediatric cardiologist review to help identify hidden heart conditions.

Every screening represents a young life, a family, and an opportunity to find something before it becomes something.

Appointments are open for our upcoming Youth Heart Screening on Saturday, July 18 at Gray Wolf Performance.

For young athletes, a regular sports physical is important — but it usually does not include the heart testing needed to find many hidden conditions. A HeartCheck includes an echocardiogram, 12-lead EKG, blood pressure, and pediatric cardiologist review to help identify issues that could put an athlete at risk.

When you watch your child train hard, compete hard, and push their body to the next level, it’s natural to wonder if their heart is ready for that kind of demand. This screening gives parents added peace of mind before the next season, tournament, or big goal.

For ages 8–25. Takes about 30 minutes and is non-invasive.

So glad he survived sudden cardiac arrest! This is why we feel so passionate about spreading awareness about the importance of early detection of heart defects in youth. Please get your children tested!!

Bryson is 13. He collapsed while playing baseball and went into sudden cardiac arrest. Fortunately, he survived.

Most people don’t think about CPR or AED access until they need it. It won’t be your child until it is. At least, that was our thinking.

Johnson County Pediatrics families — this is a great opportunity to take a closer look at your child’s heart.
