Who do you represent?

One of our mentors, Jeremiah, recently led a peer group with men from all phases of the RCO program centered around this important question.

Through sharing their experiences, the men discussed how their choices, actions, and attitudes reflect who they are and what they stand for.

Peer groups like these remind us that some of the most valuable lessons in recovery come from one another. Every man has a story, and every story has something to teach.

As Jeremiah put it, “We represent ourselves by living a life of recovery. We represent RCO by living Stronger Sober!”

Stronger Sober isn’t just something we wear. It’s something we live!

Look who’s one step closer to hitting the open road!

Big congratulations to our guy Travis, who passed his driver’s license test and officially earned his learner’s permit!

For many of us, getting a driver’s license is something we might take for granted. But in recovery, milestones like this represent so much more than the ability to get behind the wheel. They represent independence, responsibility, new opportunities, and another step toward building a stable, successful future.

At RCO, we love celebrating these victories because we know that every accomplishment, big or small, is another piece of the life our men are working so hard to build.

Way to go, Travis! We’re proud of you and can’t wait to see where this next chapter takes you!

One step closer to the driver’s seat—and a future full of possibilities!

We had a wonderful Voices for Prevention Coalition meeting yesterday, hosted at the Northwest Arkansas Economic Development District!

Thank you to all of our coalition members and students who attended and continue to support our mission. We are excited to see our coalition grow and look forward to making a positive impact on the youth and communities throughout Boone County! Together, we are making a difference!

A weekend of service, music, fellowship, and a powerful reminder of what recovery is all about!

The men at Recovery Center of the Ozarks had the opportunity to help set up for Rock-N-the River this past weekend, and what a great event to be part of!

One of the highlights of the weekend was watching our very own Dillon take the stage to share his testimony. There is something incredibly powerful about watching someone turn their past struggles into a message of hope for others. It takes courage to share your story, and we couldn’t be prouder of Dillon for doing just that.

Another special moment was getting to proudly display our new American flag while joining young Bre in singing the Star-Spangled Banner. It was a meaningful moment of unity, gratitude, and patriotism that made the evening even more memorable.

From helping behind the scenes to standing onstage and sharing the hope found in recovery, our guys had the opportunity to be part of something bigger than themselves.

Recovery is about more than changing your own life. It’s about discovering how your life can make a difference in someone else’s.

We’re so incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make Rock-N-The River VIII possible and for the opportunity to represent RCO at such a special community event!

Excited about a great weekend of praise and worship, fellowship and recovery vibes!

What a gift this experience was!

We want to extend a very special thank you to Sight & Sound Theatres for gifting the men at RCO and their families the opportunity to see DAVID! It was an incredible experience and a meaningful reminder of faith, courage, perseverance, and trusting God through every season.

We also want to thank Jamie's Restaurant for feeding our crew before we headed out. We are incredibly grateful for your generosity and support!

Experiences like these remind us that recovery isn’t only about leaving an old life behind—it’s also about building a new one filled with connection, fellowship, new experiences, and memories worth keeping.

Thank you to those in our community and beyond who continue to pour into the men at RCO. Your kindness and support mean more than you know!

Same person.
Different choices.
A completely different life.

This is Jeremiah’s story:

Today, Jeremiah is one of our lead mentors at Recovery Center of the Ozarks. He spends his days walking alongside men who are fighting some of the same battles he once fought himself—offering encouragement, accountability, experience, strength, and most importantly, hope!

But there was a time when Jeremiah needed someone to offer those things to him.

These two photos are a powerful reminder that a person’s darkest chapter does not have to be the end of their story. Recovery gave Jeremiah the opportunity to rebuild his health, his relationships, his purpose, and his life. And now, he gets to use the very experiences that once brought him so much pain to help someone else believe that change is possible.

At RCO, that’s what we mean when we talk about the power of lived experience. Sometimes the person who can reach you best is the person who can look you in the eye and say, “I’ve been there. And there is a way out!”

Jeremiah is living proof that there is hope on the other side—and today, he helps our guys find theirs.

Don’t believe the lie that it’s too late. Recovery is possible. There is hope!

RJ recently took an important step forward by opening his own bank account!

Recovery is about so much more than staying sober. It’s about rebuilding a life—learning independence, taking responsibility, creating stability, and accomplishing things that may have once felt out of reach!

These moments might seem small to some, but we know just how meaningful they can be. Every step forward builds confidence for the next one.

Way to go, RJ! Keep building that future, one step at a time đź’Ş

Jeff and RJ recently rolled up their sleeves and put their skills to work staining a deck—and did a great job while they were at it!

Opportunities like this may seem like just another day’s work, but they’re also part of what recovery looks like in action: showing up, working together, learning and using practical skills, and taking pride in a job well done.

Way to put in the work, Jeff and RJ!
