Every item on our Amazon Wish List has a face behind it.
That cross necklace? It’s for a new resident named Donna. She’s 72 and has no family.
That Elvis sticker? It’s for Helen who still lights up when she talks about her favorite singer. Her birthday is this month.
The 100% cotton yarn? We have a facility with 5 knitters who really want pure cotton yarn. Quality matters to them but it’s way out of their budget and they use a bunch.
That can of stew? It is for a blessing bag for a senior in independent living choosing between snacks and her cell phone bill.
That bottle of brand name lotion? It’s for a nursing home resident whose skin is paper-thin and super dry. She’s needs the good stuff.
Those snap shelves? It’s for the volunteers who sort thousands of donations.
The bird seed? It’s for the empty feeders outside Mary’s room.
The pocket t-shirt? It’s for Steve. He’s 85.
When people see an Amazon Wish List, they see products.
We see stories.
We see widows, Elvis fans, veterans, former teachers, farmers, nurses, grandparents and the volunteers who show up every week to remind them they still matter.
Thank you to everyone who clicks “Add to Cart.”
You aren’t JUST sending things.
You’re sending a message that someone remembers.
And that’s what Three Wishes has always been about.
