HHBA met this morning at Signature Tower and heard updates on several projects and initiatives impacting Harrison.
Mike Nabors discussed the transition of the Downtown Strategies Committee’s work to Main Street Harrison, helping ensure continued momentum for downtown revitalization efforts.
Emily Powers provided updates from the Chamber of Commerce and shared plans for Harrison’s upcoming 150th Anniversary Celebration.
Kelly provided an update on the future Lemon & Rye restaurant project, which continues to generate excitement for downtown.
We also celebrated the soft opening of That Shop on the Square on the west side of the square, another great addition to downtown Harrison.
Mayor Jackson discussed progress on the Main Street Bridge opening, pocket park development, downtown lighting improvements, traffic signal changes around the square, and the proposed Police and Fire Tax issue expected on the November ballot.
Matt Bell shared updates on Music on the Square, Explore Harrison’s downtown projects, and upcoming Creekside and Creekside Amp events.
We also received updates from Main Street Harrison, Boston Mountain Women’s Health Center, and downtown façade grant opportunities.
Lots of positive momentum in Harrison, and it’s encouraging to see businesses, organizations, and community leaders working together to keep moving our city forward.
