As part of our commitment to environmental stewardship, the Town of Harrisburg is creating healthier natural landscapes throughout our parks.

You may notice select areas where grass and native vegetation are allowed to grow more naturally. These spaces help support pollinators like bees and butterflies, increase biodiversity, and create stronger, deeper-rooted plant communities that are better equipped to handle drought and changing weather conditions.

By growing and preserving natural habitats, we're helping create a more sustainable park system while providing valuable resources for local wildlife.

A healthier habitat starts with a thriving natural landscape. 🌼🐝🌿

Last night Cabarrus County Commissioners cleared the way for Back Creek Greenway to reach Raging Ridge Road! This connection is essential for Hickory Ridge students walking from Camellia Gardens and for athletes who will now have easy access to the greenway for training. Next Monday (5/11) Town Council will have the opportunity to move forward with the design phase. Love the progress being made here. 👏👏👏
