🤠🚲 Saddle up, Scouts… these steeds have TWO wheels! 🚲🤠

Tonight our Cub Scouts traded horses for handlebars at our Bike Rodeo! 🐎➡️🚴

Our riders learned bike safety and maintenance, practiced their hand signals ✋, and tested their skills on an obstacle course full of twists, turns, and plenty of opportunities to show off those bike-handling skills.

Once everyone proved they could handle their trusty two-wheeled steeds, we hit the trail for our Rodeo Roundup Ride! 🤠

No bucking broncos. No runaway cattle. Just a whole herd of Cubs cruising along and having a wheely good time. 😂🚲

Yeehaw! Until the next adventure! ⚜️

🌧️🏕️ First campout of the season = COMPLETE! ⚜️

A little Friday night rain may have washed out our night hike, but it certainly didn’t wash out the adventure!

Saturday was packed with Scout fun: 🪢 practicing knots, 🍃 identifying leaves and trees, 🔎 hunting for bugs with magnifying glasses, and 🚤 building tin foil boats before putting them to the ultimate test with races in the river!

And since we were already wet… why not stay that way? 😂 The Scouts enjoyed their free time playing, splashing, and exploring in the river before it was time for the Scout Olympics! 🏅

Our competitors took on the three-legged race, pine cone toss, and tug-of-war, with pins awarded to our event winners. 🏆

We wrapped up the day the best way we know how, around the campfire with 🔥 s’mores, songs, stories, and plenty of laughs.

Rain or shine, there’s always an adventure waiting with Cub Scouts. 💙💛 Here’s to a great first campout and a whole season of adventures still to come!

We're so proud of our Cub Scout Pack for bringing home 1st Place for Most Original Float in this year's Fourth of July Parade! 🇺🇸

This award belongs to every Scout, leader, and family who spent countless hours planning, building, decorating, and cheering along the parade route. Your creativity, teamwork, and Scout spirit truly shined and made our pack stand out.

Tonight we celebrated our Scouts and all they accomplished this year — rank advancements, achievements earned, friendships built, and memories made along the way. We are so proud of each Scout for their hard work, growth, and dedication throughout the year. Thank you to all of our families and leaders who help make this pack such a fun and supportive community.

We hear there was a big game this weekend … but for Pack 173, the biggest event of the weekend was the 2026 Pinewood Derby 🏁

Saturday was packed with fast cars, loud cheers, and some serious Scout engineering. And just when we thought things couldn’t get more exciting, our timekeeping system decided to take the day off — so we went full throwback and tracked races with paper and pen like it was the 1900s. Turns out, it still works 😉

The racing was tight. The top 7 cars in the pack all averaged under 3 seconds, with less than a tenth of a second separating 1st through 7th place. Blink and you missed it. That’s how fast these cars were.

Huge shoutout to our Scouts for their creativity, hard work, and sportsmanship, and to our leaders and volunteers who kept everything rolling (even when technology didn’t). What an unforgettable derby — memories were made, bragging rights earned, and wheels officially burned rubber.

Pack 173 showed up and showed out 🚗💨
Until next year… start building!
