There's a lot to look forward to in downtown Harrisburg! 🏙️

More than $64 million in public and private investments have been announced as part of a plan to revitalize downtown Harrisburg.

The plan includes improvements to public spaces and the riverfront, support for local businesses, safer and more accessible streets, and expanded arts and cultural opportunities.

For Harrisburg Young Professionals, a vibrant downtown is an important part of what makes our city a great place to live, work, and play. These investments have the potential to create more opportunities for residents, businesses, and visitors to experience everything Harrisburg has to offer.

We're looking forward to seeing how downtown Harrisburg continues to grow and evolve!

What if borrowing a power drill could be as simple as borrowing a book?

With 63% of Harrisburg households renting and a median household income of $47,787, access to affordable tools matters. At the same time, many homes in our community are older, repair costs are rising, and a single tool can cost hundreds of dollars.

The Harrisburg Tool Library is about more than tools—it’s about community, which makes it such a great . Neighbors can borrow what they need to fix, build, garden, and learn, while the space also gives groups a place to gather, share skills, and host events.

It’s a great example of what we can create when we share resources, knowledge, and community with one another.

On Saturday, October 10th from 4 PM - 8 PM, they're hosting a block party to celebrate one year of lending with hotdogs, cold drinks, bands, and a make your own merch screen printing table sponsored by Fennec!
