Andy Thomas, CLVLT, COLD, is the owner of Viewpoint Lighting, a landscape and architectural lighting design-build firm based in Sacramento. Andy founded his lighting business after seven years of experience with landscape supply distributors, including Ewing and The Urban Farmer Store, and as a technical services representative for FX Luminaire. He is the immediate past president of the Association of Outdoor Lighting Professionals (AOLP), as well as former chair of both the CLVLT and COLD committees.

a Blade of Grass earned a Silver award in APLD's 2025 International Landscape Design Awards Program for the project, "Bayview Sanctuary," located in Duxbury, Massachusetts.

"This is a beautiful upgrade with the use, but not overuse, of the bluestone that works so well with the fieldstone wall," said one of our judges. "Love the preservation of antique granite posts and walls."

Patrick Bell/ City Garden Company earned an award in APLD's 2025 International Landscape Design Awards Program for the project, "Vedado," located in Atlanta, Georgia.

"I like the new design for its crisp lines and how the backyard is now brighter and more cheerful," said one of our judges. "The bluestone patio nicely connects with the existing deck, and the fence is very attractive."
