At our last meeting, Rotary club members and guests enjoyed a private organ recital by Rotarian Henry Danaher at the Church of Christ at Dartmouth College. Thank you to the Church for hosting our brown bag lunch and to Henry for sharing his musical talents and for explaining his selections, the composers and the Church’s wonderful organ. Thank you to Matt Slaughter, Dean of the Tuck School of Business, for leading a discussion at today’s Rotary lunch about some of our most pressing issues including the impact of globalization and inequality on society, the challenges facing higher education, and what lies ahead for today’s students. Thank you Dean Slaughter for applauding local organizations like Rotary clubs for helping to build civic trust and discourse. Service Above Self!

At our most recent lunch meeting, Hanover Rotarians heard from Professor Nicholas Christakis about issues addressed in his book “Blueprint: The Evolutionary Origins of a Good Society.” Professor Christakis is an American sociologist and physician and a Sterling Professor at Yale, the highest honor bestowed on Yale faculty. Thank you Professor Christakis for your thought provoking lecture!

Rotarian Henry Danaher performed a wonderful organ recital yesterday at Rollins Chapel on the Dartmouth campus. The audience included members of the Dartmouth Club of the Upper Valley. A 2008 graduate of Dartmouth, Henry wears many hats including serving as the Dartmouth College organist. Service Above Self!

We enjoyed hearing about Bridget's background in clinical research, education and leadership and are delighted she will be providing support to Dartmouth students and their families.
