Hanover Rotary Club was proud to join with fellow Plymouth and Lebanon Rotarians, Common Man for Ukraine, and the Dartmouth Student Alliance for Ukraine in supporting last Friday’s concert to benefit Ukraine’s Children of War. After the concert Hanover Rotary President Bob Haynes presented a check for $5,000 to CMFU founders Steve Rand and Susan Mathison to support their ongoing work in Ukraine. Congrats to all on a wonderfully successful event! Service Above Self!

Hanover and Upper Valley neighbors and Dartmouth students, join us for an afternoon of music in support of Ukraine’s children of war. 💙💛

Kommunа Lux, a band from Odesa, Ukraine, will bring its energetic klezmer music and folk songs to Hanover on Friday, October 9, at 4 p.m. The concert is at the Church of Christ at Dartmouth College, 40 College Street. Please note the new venue!

The Hanover Rotary Club is proud to join our fellow Rotary clubs, Common Man for Ukraine, and the Dartmouth Student Alliance for Ukraine in supporting this event. Come hear the music, bring a friend, and help us fill the room.

Flooding in New England and particularly Vermont is becoming more prevalent. Want to know why? Ask Professor Frank J. Magilligan, Professor of Geography, Emeritus, at Dartmouth College. Professor Magilligan led Rotarians through environmental and other factors accelerating floods in recent years, highlighting the impact of Hurricane Irene that ravaged eastern Vermont in the late summer 2011. Thank you, Professor Magilligan for a wonderful presentation at our Rotary lunch earlier this week.

Hanover Rotary proudly supported The Prouty again this year by organizing the official SAG (Stop and Go) support station at the Dartmouth Skiway located at mile 28 of the 52-mile gravel bike race. Rotarians Bruce Atwood, Paul Foster, Dick Booma, Nan Carroll and Jim Bonney cheered on the racers with help from a team of enthusiastic Dartmouth Ski Patrollers. This year's Prouty raised over $12 million to fund cancer research and patient support at the Dartmouth Cancer Center at DHMC. Service Above Self!
