💔 Hearts for Hope Bingo Bash Cancellation 💔

Unfortunately, due to low participation, we have made the difficult decision to cancel our Hearts for Hope Bingo Bash scheduled for this Sunday, October 18th.

We are grateful to everyone who showed interest and supported our efforts to make this event happen. While we are disappointed, we appreciate our community’s continued support and understanding.

Thank you for being part of our mission to make a difference in the lives of children and families in need. ❤️

We will be sending refunds within the next few days.

💙 Thank You, Adrianna Boyer! 💙

Today, we want to recognize and thank Adrianna Boyer for her two years of dedicated service to UpsideDown Moments as a Board Member and as the manager of Vehicles Empowering Hope (VEH).

Adrianna brought something incredibly valuable to this work - lived experience from her own journey through foster care. Her personal understanding, compassion, and passion were instrumental in helping us create and shape VEH into a program designed to help young adults who have aged out of foster care move toward transportation independence and self-sufficiency.

She poured her heart into helping others navigate challenges she knew all too well, and her perspective helped make VEH a program rooted in understanding, dignity, and real-life needs.

Yesterday marked our final Seasonal Blessings event - a biannual FREE event dedicated to providing children, in foster care and at-risk youth with essential seasonal clothing.

On behalf of all of us at UpsideDown Moments, we want to share our deepest gratitude to everyone who has donated gently used clothing and supported foster families through this program over the years. Your generosity has brought warmth, comfort, and dignity to so many children and families in our community. Special thanks to everyone at Floris United Methodist Church for making these donations.

While Seasonal Blessings has come to a close, our mission to support youth in foster care remains as strong as ever. UpsideDown Moments is continuing to provide First Night Bags - packed with essential items and comfort care - to ensure foster children and families have what they need during critical transitions.

Thank you for opening your hearts and partnering with us to make a meaningful difference. We could not do this vital work without your ongoing support! 💙

🚨 URGENT: WE NEED YOUR HELP TOMORROW! 🚨

Our Seasonal Blessings event is happening tomorrow in Herndon , and we need a few more amazing volunteers to help us make it a success! ❤️

We have nearly 600 people registered to attend, and we can’t pull this off without our volunteers!

🛍️ We need Assistant Shoppers!
You’ll help guide our guests through the event by:
• Helping them find the appropriate size table
• Assisting with coats and shoes
• Helping them find the extras available
• Offering a friendly face and a helping hand along the way! 😊

⏰ Two shifts available:
7:00–9:30 AM
9:30 AM–12:00 PM

You don’t need special experience—just a willingness to help and a heart for serving families in our community. 💙

UPDATE: Bike, Helmet and pump donated! Thank you so much!!This bike will be a great blessing to this girl and her family!

URGENT NEED:

A student at a local High School is in need of a bike to able to work after school. She walks to school 25 min in the morning and afternoon. School start at 8am and our school ends at 1:30 pm. She needs to be at work at 2pm and when she doesn't speed up her walk she barely make its on time. She needs to work because she helps mom with rent and other payments. She has been asking for a bike that she can use for transportation.
