From urgent care to specialty clinics, our team is dedicated to your well-being. When Bitterroot Health opened its doors on July 1, 1931, healthcare in Ravalli County changed forever. Margaret Daly built the hospital in memory of her late husband, copper king Marcus, who was a founding father of our community. Her visionary philanthropy ensured that thousands of Ravalli County residents and guests would receive excellent, close-to-home care in their times of need. The original three story brick building that housed the hospital is now a registered historical landmark in Hamilton. A new facility was constructed in 1975 and continues to expand to match the needs of our community. Bitterroot Health is a rural, nonprofit, community hospital. It is governed by a community board of directors. Reimbursements from Medicare and Medicaid cover only part of the actual costs of care. Despite these challenges, our first priority is to provide quality care to our community by trained caregivers who love the scenic place where they live and provide the highest levels of care using the most advanced equipment available to us. More than 500 dedicated healthcare professionals work at MDMH, making it the largest employer in the county, and they spend every day assisting neighbors, friends, and family members with health management. From basic family care to birthing, emergency services, surgery, rehabilitation, hospice care, and a new ICU center - families are helped through their greatest health challenges in a neighborly environment close to home. A beautiful hospice center is also on our campus, providing compassionate care both in home and at our facility.

A big thank you to everyone who helped make the Sprinkle Pink Jackpot Barrel Race at 5C Arena in Corvallis a success on October 10! 💗

With 191 ladies competing in the open barrel race, along with youth and pee-wee riders, it was a great day bringing our community together for a good cause.

Bitterroot Health was proud to support breast cancer awareness, share information about mammography screenings, and raise awareness of our Aid for Mammography Fund, which helps individuals facing financial barriers access these important screenings. We also raffled off a dermatology skincare basket, won by Riley of Frenchtown!

While the event was full of friendly competition and community spirit, the message remains important: early detection matters, and routine mammograms can help detect breast cancer early.

If you are due for your mammogram, make scheduling a priority. You do not have to receive your screening at Bitterroot Health to take this important step for your health. Choose the provider or facility that works best for you.

And if the cost of a mammogram is a concern, our Aid for Mammography Fund may be able to help.

A Huge Thank You to the Bitterroot Sporting Club!

We are so grateful to the Bitterroot Sporting Club for hosting their 2nd Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Shoot! This year, 48 amazing shooters of all ages came together for a wonderful cause.

Thanks to the hard work of dedicated volunteers, the generosity of local sponsors, donated baskets from local businesses, homemade items from local families, and countless volunteer hours, this event raised over $8,900 for the Bitterroot Health Foundation!

A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who participated, volunteered, donated, and supported this incredible event. Your generosity makes a difference in our community!

🎀 October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month 🎀

October is a reminder to take care of yourself and the people you love. If you haven’t had your recommended mammogram or breast cancer screening yet, make this the month you schedule it. It doesn’t have to be with Bitterroot Health. Wherever you choose to go, we simply want to encourage you to get screened.

Early detection matters, and taking an hour to prioritize your health could make a lasting difference.

We also want to encourage our community to come out and support Judy and the Bingo for Breast Cancer event happening Thursday, October 8, at Eagles Lodge in Hamilton.

👶💗 A LITTLE SUPPORT CAN GO A LONG WAY

Becoming a parent is a beautiful journey, but breastfeeding can come with plenty of questions and challenges. Bitterroot Baby Bistro offers a free, welcoming place for parents to connect, learn and get the support they need.

Join us on the 2nd Tuesday of every month from 11 a.m. to noon at the Bitterroot Health Conference Room.
