The Hamden/North Haven YMCA has a wide variety of programs for children, teens and adults.

The Hamden/North Haven YMCA, a branch of The Central Connecticut Coast YMCA, will care for individuals and families, with a focus on youth. Through our leadership and diverse programs we will advocate for those whose voices are seldom heard, improve neighborhoods, and build strong kids, strong families, strong communities.

A big thank you to Howard from Webster Bank for making the trek up to Camp Mountain Laurel last week to spend some time with our older campers!

Howard taught our campers some important financial literacy and money management skills—valuable life lessons that they can carry with them long after their summer at camp comes to an end. From understanding how to manage money to making smart financial decisions, our campers had the opportunity to learn skills that will benefit them for years to come.

Howard knows the YMCA well, having grown up working at the Fairfield YMCA, and he currently serves as a member of the Central Connecticut Coast YMCA Board of Directors. We are incredibly grateful that he took the time to step away from the office and head up to the woods to share his knowledge with our campers!

Howard, we hope you enjoyed trading the office for the great outdoors, fresh air, and Camp Mountain Laurel for the day! 🌲☀️ We appreciate you being part of our camp community and investing in the next generation.

Our YMCA Before & After School Programs are up and running at Shepherd Glen School and Helen Street School, providing a safe, fun, and engaging place for your child before and after the school day.

We’re also thrilled to have our After School Program back up and running at the Keefe Community Center!

From homework help and activities to games, friendships, and plenty of fun, our programs are designed to keep kids engaged and supported while giving parents peace of mind.

And just like that… summer 2026 is officially in the books!

From the first day of camp to our final week, this summer was filled with friendships, laughter, adventures, new experiences, and memories that will last a lifetime. From swimming and archery to the ropes course, arts & crafts, field games, sports, specialty camps, and everything in between, our campers made this summer one to remember!

A HUGE thank you to our incredible campers and families for making Camp Mountain Laurel such a special place this summer. And of course, we couldn’t do it without our amazing camp staff, who brought energy, creativity, patience, and plenty of fun every single day.

We’re already missing the sounds of campers running around camp, the cheers from the field, and all those little moments that make summer at Camp Mountain Laurel so special.

To all of our campers, we wish you an awesome school year! We hope you have an amazing year filled with new adventures, new friends, and plenty of fun. We’ll be cheering you on from Camp Mountain Laurel and we can’t wait to see you back here next summer!

We had such an exciting day at camp today that we completely lost track of time!

So much was happening that we totally forgot to share today’s camp memories! 😂 But don’t worry—we’re back on track and have plenty of great memories from this summer to share as we wrap up an amazing season at Camp Mountain Laurel!

It’s hard to believe that camp is already winding down! As we head into our final week, we’re taking some time to look back on all the fun, laughter, friendships, and unforgettable moments that made this summer so special.

Today was a SLAM DUNK at Camp Mountain Laurel!

Our campers were showing off their basketball skills, having fun, and reaching for the rim! From big jumps to even bigger smiles, it was another great day at Camp Mountain Laurel! ☀️🙌

Huge thank you to our friends at Gateway Community College for spending the day with us at Camp Mountain Laurel!

Our campers had an absolute blast playing kickball, basketball, and archery, and even getting a chance to participate in our Dunk Tank!

A special shoutout to our Board Member Jesse for helping lead the dunk tank and getting in on the fun! We truly appreciate Gateway Community College for coming out, connecting with our campers, and helping make it such a memorable day.

Thank you for being part of the Camp Mountain Laurel family! We can’t wait to have you back!

What a day! Our Dunk Tank was a HUGE success, and thanks to all of your incredible support, we were able to raise over $2,000 for scholarship programs supporting the Hamden/North Haven YMCA and the New Haven YMCA Youth Center!

A HUGE thank you to everyone who donated, all of our campers who showed off their amazing aim, and all of our staff and board members who bravely volunteered to get dunked!

Your generosity will help provide more kids and families in our community with access to YMCA programs and opportunities. We couldn’t have done it without you!

We had so much fun and can’t wait to do it again next year! 🙌
