STEM Fun in Our After School Programs!

Our after school students have been putting on their thinking caps and exploring the exciting world of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math)!

Helen Street took on a tower-building challenge using marshmallows and toothpicks! Students put their engineering skills to the test, working to build structures, solve problems, and see just how tall they could make their towers.

Shepherd Glen explored science with a fun Sink or Float activity! Students made predictions, tested different objects, and discovered which items sank and which floated.

From building and creating to experimenting and discovering, our students are learning that STEM is all about curiosity, creativity, teamwork, and having fun along the way!

We love seeing our students learn through hands-on activities and discover that learning goes far beyond the classroom!

Our kids at Shepherd Glen are trying to soak up what’s left of the nice weather and had a blast playing on the playground yesterday! Cold weather is coming soon, but you couldn’t tell by the smiles on these kiddos!

We had a great time hosting our first Movie Night at Camp Mountain Laurel! It was so much fun welcoming back some of our amazing camp families and families from our after school programs for an evening in the woods.

We enjoyed plenty of popcorn, candy, and of course, The Super Mario Bros. Movie!

Just because summer is over doesn’t mean the fun stops at Camp Mountain Laurel! We have plenty more exciting events coming up, and next up is our Spooky Candy Trail on October 16th! 👻

We hope to see you there for an evening of treats, crafts, pumpkins, costumes, and spooky fun!

The fun continues at camp!
