Today, we honor both our history and our progress. True freedom isn’t just a moment in time; it is built every day through the dedication, love, and hard work that people pour into our local communities.

Thank you to the organizers, mentors, and citizens working tirelessly to uplift us all. Happy Juneteenth! ❤️🖤💚

How Doers Get More Done! 🧡🛠️

A massive THANK YOU to the team at The Home Depot DFC 6760 in !

Recently, Home Depot donated 100 “Clean Start” buckets to United Way’s county-wide hygiene closet program. Now in its second year, this program delivers high-quality cleaning supplies directly to local families to help ease the expense burden at the register.

Thanks to our United Way mission partner schools, these buckets were delivered to families in need across the Hancock, Cascade, Greenbrier, Clear Spring, and Hickory Elementary School Districts. 🎒✨

We can’t thank the team enough for their incredible enthusiasm for this project every year. When times are tough, basic essentials are often the first things families have to go without—and cleaning supplies are usually at the top of that list.

Thank you for investing in your local community. Live here, give here. 🤝

You're Invited!

Join of Washington County, MD, for an evening of celebration, connection, and community impact at our 2026 LIVE UNITED Awards Annual Meeting & Celebration - Presented by Dot Foods.

On Wednesday, June 24, 2026, we invite community partners, volunteers, donors, advocates, and friends to gather as we reflect on the past year’s accomplishments and look ahead to the future of our shared work.

Dog Dayz of Summer are HERE! 🐶🌞

At United Way, we are fortunate to have individuals in our community who go above and beyond to support our programs. Today, we extend our deepest gratitude to Ms. Mary Ann Keyser, whose generosity has made a significant impact on our mission.

An avid pet lover, Mary Ann also ensures that our four-legged friends are never forgotten. 🐾 Recently, Mary Ann's contributions included vibrant, cooling bandana collars for dogs to help keep them comfortable as the mercury quickly rises! 🌡

Mary Ann is not just a partner; she offers continued support for our downtown walk-up/drive-thru hygiene window. Her readiness to step up whenever items are needed has been invaluable.

Thank you, Mary Ann, for your continued support!

🚨 Urgent Needs Grant Award 🆘

Congratulations, Family Healthcare of Hagerstown — $2,000 Award

When a generator malfunction sidelined Family Healthcare of Hagerstown's Healthy Smiles in Motion mobile dental unit, access to essential dental care for local students was jeopardized. The mobile clinic serves schools throughout Washington County, bringing preventive and restorative dental services directly to children who may otherwise face barriers to care. Through a $2,000 Live United Urgent Needs Grant, United Way of Washington County helped offset the cost of critical repairs needed to return the unit to service. This support will help ensure that students continue receiving timely dental care, promoting better health, improved school attendance, and brighter futures.
