Emotional heaviness is not something we often associate with the holiday season, but it is a reality when grieving loss. Greetings Everyone,

In March 2026, more than 35 of us women veterans gathered at Mission BBQ in Cherry Hill, NJ to celebrate Women’s History Month and one another. Because of that awesome event, this WhatsApp group and a virtual women veterans book club was created.

I’m grateful for our sisterhood and
supportive community.

Hope you can join me at Mission BBQ again for food, fun, and fellowship as we discuss the upcoming women veterans exhibit and future events.

Hashimoto's Thyroiditis
~5.3% of U.S. adults are estimated to have autoimmune thyroid disease.
~43% of affected adults were undiagnosed in nationally representative U.S. data.
~1 in 3 women with autoimmune thyroid disease remained undiagnosed.
Women are approximately 4× more likely than men to have Hashimoto's globally.
Hashimoto's can develop gradually, and autoimmune thyroid changes may exist while routine thyroid-function measurements remain within reference ranges.
