Check out this site to review Mr. Jackson’s Tuesday 250 messages (also sent through ParentSquare): https://www.gcak12.org/tuesday250

These are intended to give families access to what goes on “behind the curtain” at GCA. Sometimes that is a look at philosophical things; other times it is a glimpse into logistics or reasons behind decisions. Originally, this was intended to be accomplished in 250 words or less, but will be modified this year to a message you can read in under 2 minutes and 50 seconds. We hope that you will be willing to devote three minutes or less each week to reading about what’s going on (and why) at GCA!

Our friends from uPaint Pottery in Greenwood will be traveling to GCA South this evening (Tuesday, 10/27) for a fun family event to paint pottery! All PreK-12th grade students and their family members are welcome to get creative and enjoy making memories together at our GCA Community Pottery Painting Night!

Pottery options range from $13-$20 (cash/credit accepted). GCA will receive 20% of all sales as a donation.

Items will be taken to uPaint to fire then sent home with students within a few days.

The Cougar Cafe is a fun new addition to GCA’s high school campus! Earlier this fall, Mrs. Julien and Mrs. Wall began offering coffee drinks, milkshakes, slushies, and dirty sodas on certain mornings and during Cougar Time and lunch to our students and staff—and they’ve been a tasty hit! We’re also proud to share that they use a few products from Anecdote Coffee in Southport, which is owned by a GCA alum!

Gather your friends, form a team, and test your knowledge in a variety of categories at this year’s GCA Trivia Night! We're encouraging tables to go all out with a theme, so get creative with your name and attire! Prizes will be awarded to the winning and the best-dressed teams, and bragging rights are on the line! Come hungry, too -- pizza, salad, and desserts will be served.

Purchase your tickets at gcatrivia26.givesmart.com by Friday, Oct. 30th. Don’t miss this exciting community event!
