Law Enforcement United Announces Support for National Police Dog Foundation
Chesapeake, Virginia — October 9, 2026 — Law Enforcement United (LEU) is proud to announce its support of the National Police Dog Foundation (NPDF) and its mission to strengthen and support the law enforcement K-9 teams that serve communities across the country.
Police K-9s are an essential part of the law enforcement community, working alongside their handlers in some of the most challenging and dangerous circumstances. From tracking missing and endangered individuals to detecting narcotics and explosives, apprehending dangerous suspects, and protecting their handlers, these highly trained K-9s play a critical role in keeping officers and communities safe.
“Law Enforcement United has always believed in supporting those who put their lives on the line to protect our communities, and that includes the K-9s who serve alongside our officers,” said Wallace Chadwick, Executive Director of Law Enforcement United. “These incredible animals are more than working dogs. They are partners, protectors, and members of the law enforcement family. We are proud to support the National Police Dog Foundation and its mission to strengthen K-9 programs and provide resources to the teams who serve every day.”
The National Police Dog Foundation works to support law enforcement K-9 programs through resources, education, training, and assistance designed to improve the effectiveness, health, and welfare of police dogs and their handlers.
Through its support of the National Police Dog Foundation, Law Enforcement United will help bring greater awareness to the important role of K-9 teams and the resources needed to maintain strong, effective programs. LEU looks forward to working alongside NPDF to support agencies, handlers, and K-9s throughout the law enforcement community.
The relationship between a police K-9 and its handler extends far beyond the work they perform in the field. These teams train together, respond to dangerous situations together, and rely on one another in moments when trust and teamwork are essential. For many handlers, their K-9 partner becomes an important member of their family as well as their professional life.
“Supporting law enforcement means supporting the entire law enforcement family,” Chadwick said. “Our K-9s are a vital part of that family. They serve without hesitation, protect their handlers, and make an incredible difference in the communities they serve. We are honored to support the National Police Dog Foundation and recognize the dedication and sacrifice of these extraordinary teams.”
Law Enforcement United remains committed to honoring the fallen, supporting survivors, strengthening officer wellness, and building partnerships that positively impact the law enforcement profession. Supporting the National Police Dog Foundation represents another meaningful step in that mission and an opportunity to recognize the four-legged partners who faithfully serve alongside our nation’s law enforcement officers.
