A Time for Science Did you know Greenville has a science museum? The Greenville museum and Contentnea Creek location are both incredible experiences for any age.

Both locations open Tues-Sat 10-4! At a time when our population is falling behind other industrialized countries in its understanding and literacy of science, technology, engineering, math and the environment, North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences at Greenville and Contentnea Creek's fun and welcoming settings and provides opportunities for the public to cultivate positive images and attitud

es toward STEM and toward Nature. By so doing NCMNS at Greenville and Contentnea Creek encourages the pursuit of the basic elements of STEM and environmental knowledge as well as the pursuit of science and environmentally related careers. Importantly, it allows everyone to discover what scientists already know, namely that science is fun!

😎 Today marks the end of the 2026 A Time For Science Summer Camp Season!

🔨🔧We wrapped up the summer with the BRAND NEW Mechanical Mayhem camp! Campers used different technologies and innovative strategies to solve real-world problems as teams. From rescuing your keys from a sewer grate to programming robots to follow instructions, our campers expanded their engineering knowledge and confidence.

⚙️📐Thank you to for letting us borrow your incredible tech to inspire young minds. We couldn't save the world without you!

Boneyard Robotics is returning THIS WEEKEND!!

Their robotics experts are excited to return to the Greenville location with new projects and technology!

You can make your own Doodle Bot that wiggles around and doodles, all by mechanics! You even get to keep it!

They'll also introduce you to circuit boards! You'll be able to make a working circuit board using Snap Circuits!

A Time for Science will be closed from Saturday, July 4, to Friday, July 10, for a mid-summer break!

The trails at Contentnea Creek will be open for exploration from dawn to dusk.

Our summer camp staff will use this week to gear up for the second half of summer camps!
