In Texas alone, over 1,000 young adults age out of foster care annually. Many enter adulthood without the family support, resources, or safety net that others rely on—placing them at greater risk for homelessness, unemployment, and financial instability.
At Qavah the Storehouse, we believe every young adult deserves opportunity, support, and hope for the future.

As Foster Care Awareness Month comes to a close, we’re reflecting on the realities too many children and families still face — facts we would like to change. We invite you to partner with us in making a lasting difference.

Do you have an elderly neighbor next door living on a fixed income? Maybe someone who’s been getting by on sandwiches every day just to make ends meet?

We want to invite them, and you, to the Wednesday Initiative. It’s more than just a meal; it’s a place to feel seen, cared for, and supported.

What’s waiting for you every Wednesday:
🍲 A full home-cooked meal served with love.
🍩 Sweet treats from Sweeties Donuts & Panera.
🚿 Showers & Hygiene (Partnering with Wesley UMC & Streetside Showers).
👕 Clothing & Seasonal items provided by United Way of Hunt County.
🧺 Laundry & Hydration via the Christian Motorcycle Association.
