Congratulations to Big Sister Alivia as we celebrate her graduation and her impact as a mentor! 💚

Big Sister Alivia and Little Sister Mazie were matched through our Site-Based Mentoring Program at Gresham Community School District for 2 1/2 years. They were first matched in fall 2023, when Mazie was in second grade and Alivia was a sophomore.

Over the years, they shared so many fun activities, creative projects, and special memories together. From crafting and making friendship bracelets to simply spending time together, their friendship continued to grow.

Now, Alivia has graduated high school and is preparing to attend college, where she plans to become a teacher because of her love for working with children.

We are so grateful for the time, care, and consistency Alivia gave as a Big Sister. Congratulations, Alivia! 🎓

What a day! 💚This year’s Belmark inc Presents Fun! for Kids’ Sake brought families, local businesses, volunteers, and community members together at Franklin Park for a day full of games, fun, and support for local kids.

Thanks to our amazing community, we raised $11,600 for youth mentoring in Shawano County!

Your support helps Big Brothers Big Sisters of Shawano County match kids with caring mentors who show up, listen, and encourage them.

Big Brothers Big Sisters is excited to be one of the six beneficiaries of this year’s Shawano Sundrop Dayz! ☀️💚

Our team of volunteers will be helping throughout the weekend in the Kidz Zone, with wristband sales, beer tents, and Sunday cleanup.

Established by Leadership Shawano County Class of 2016, SunDrop Dayz kicks off the summer season in Shawano County, held annually on the first weekend in June. The goal was to serve as a community fundraiser to support local nonprofits, while creating a signature summer event for Shawano Country.
