Grapevine, Texas is an award-winning community for many reasons, one of which is for its commitment to being an environmental steward through bi-annual waterway and park cleanups, recycling household and hazardous waste products, and beautifying the city's parks, streets and facilities. As a result, Grapevine has become a recognized leader in sustainability and beautification efforts on a local, s

tate and national level. Originally established in 1992, through the City of Grapevine Parks and Recreation Department, Keep Grapevine Beautiful was incorportated in 2005 and is a 501c3 charitable corporation. It is led by a board of directors that includes officers, city liaisons and committee chairs. Program funding comes through the Parks & Recreation Department, donations and corporate sponsorships. With more than 2,000 dedicated volunteers, we are able to manage major community cleanups such as park and lakeshore litter collection, painting boat docks and buildings, planting flowers and trees, clearing invasive plant species, and numerous other projects. Since 2007, more than a million dollars in volunteer time has been donated to the City of Grapevine.

Meet Jere, the newest volunteer in our Park Ambassador Program! By helping remove litter throughout Oak Grove Park, he's making our parks cleaner, more welcoming, and more enjoyable for everyone.

Want to make a visible impact in your community? As a Park Ambassador, you'll receive training, cleanup supplies, safety equipment, and a Litter Ends With Us branded electric utility cart to help care for Grapevine's parks.

The Keep Grapevine Beautiful Gives Grant is back for 2026, thanks to the generous support of Five Star Subaru Grapevine! 💚

From pollinator gardens and outdoor classrooms to litter prevention and sustainability projects, we're looking for creative ideas that make a positive impact in our community.

The numbers tell the story:

🍂 63% of yard trimmings in the U.S. are composted or mulched.
🍎 32% of food scraps are recovered for beneficial use.
♻️ More than 30% of the material sent to landfills could be composted instead.

By composting food scraps and yard waste, you're helping reduce landfill waste, improve soil health, and give valuable nutrients back to the earth. Every small step helps create a cleaner, greener future. 🌱
