Declared by the United Nations General Assembly in 2012, the International Day of Charity is observed annually on September 5 to raise awareness and encourage charitable efforts worldwide.
The date marks the anniversary of the death of Mother Teresa, who won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979 for her work fighting poverty and distress.
For the International Day of Charity, we are asking for donations for the Tiny Pantry at Center for Healing & Hope. Together, we can do our part to feed the hungry and care for the impoverished.
The pantry is located behind Center for Healing & Hope and is always unlocked. You may place items directly into the pantry at your convenience, or you may make a monetary donation designated for the Tiny Pantry.
