Becoming an adult is hard enough, but when you are leaving the foster care system, there are extra complications. The SOURCE partnered with Bashor Children's Home to put together welcome packets for youth moving into housing provided by Lacasa, Inc., Oaklawn Psychiatric Center, and Bashor for youth aging out of foster care.
With local resource sheets and generous donations of coupons and gift cards from Warehouse Climbing Co., Goshen College Maple Leafs, Fables Books, and Jo Jo's Pretzels, we welcome these young adults to the neighborhood and hope they find a place to thrive.

Thank You, Nomads!

Bashor Children's Home had the honor of recently hosting the Nomads for their annual meeting on our campus.

The Nomads are a faith-based volunteer group that returns to Bashor each year for 3-4 weeks to lend a helping hand with different projects around campus. This year they also brought 60 handmade quilts and school supply donations for the youth we serve.

Our Vice President of Development, Steve Riikonen, also spoke with the group and shared more about the work currently happening at Bashor.

We are incredibly grateful for their continued generosity, time and commitment to Bashor. Thank you for helping us provide Help for Today and Hope for Tomorrow!

Thank You for Making the Bashor Auto Show a Success!

We want to give a huge thank you to everyone who helped make this year's Bashor Auto Show our most successful one yet! From the participants and volunteers to everyone who came out to support Bashor, we are incredibly grateful.

Thank you to everyone who joined us last night at The Lerner Theatre for Running with Spoons 2026!

It was an incredibly fun and energetic evening, all while raising important funds to support the children in our care.

Congratulations to Gary and Linda Sieber, who were awarded the coveted Golden Spoon Award!

Congratulations as well to Jonathan Short and Chad Perrin, who were voted Best Dressed, and to Michele Lucchese, Marissa Cook and Darin Elswick, who took home the People’s Choice Award!

Most importantly, thank you to every chef, sponsor, staff member, guest and supporter who helped make the night such a success. Your support helps Bashor Children’s Home continue showing up for children and families who need us.
