Kerie is Senior Vice President of Marketing and Retail Banking at INOVA Federal Credit Union and Vice Chair of the Board at Bashor Children’s Home. She brings creativity and heart to everything she does and is passionate about supporting youth and families.

John is a devoted husband and father who lives by a simple philosophy: “Keep it simple.” He believes life is too short to make things complicated, especially when it comes to cooking.

Together, they’re bringing purpose, comfort and plenty of heart to the table!

Next up in our Running with Spoons 2026 chef introductions, meet Team Extreme: Jonathon Short and Chad Perrin!

Jonathon is President of Marquee Health and a proud Goshen native who has seen Bashor’s impact on young people throughout Elkhart County. Chad is Vice President of Operations at Janel’s Industries and said “YES” for a simple reason: great cause, great people.

Their history goes back to high school. While Chad was on the football field, Jonathon was on the sidelines as a cheerleader cheering him on. Now they’re teaming up again to support the children and families served by Bashor Children’s Home.

Julia Fisher is a licensed health and life insurance agent, longtime cosmetologist, dedicated runner and enthusiastic home cook. Julia James is a local singer, songwriter and recording artist who now balances her music with homeschooling and raising her family.

Their friendship spans decades. Julia Fisher once babysat a young Julia James, and years later they worked together on fashion shows at 130 S. Main. Now they share a neighborhood and a chefhood!

Gary works with Welch Packaging Group and is also a familiar face on WNDU. He believes Bashor has one of the most vital missions in our society, helping children get their lives back on track. Linda is the owner of Lucid Media LLC and believes a good meal is a great way to start the day.

Together, Gary and Linda are bringing their love of family, food and community to Running with Spoons!

Community service is central to their work at 1st Source Bank and their involvement with organizations that strengthen our region. All three said “YES” because they believe in Bashor Children’s Home and its mission of serving children and families.

Their featured burger was originally created for a 1st Source Bank burger cookoff before becoming a Running with Spoons favorite. This team is bringing community, teamwork and great food to the table!

Darin is retired and enjoys golfing, boating, pickleball and making homemade wine with his wife, Michele. Marissa is the Engagement Coordinator at Genesis Products and a busy mother of five who loves bringing people together and creating memorable experiences.

Both said “YES” because they believe every child deserves to feel safe, supported and loved.
