Trash talk, but make it useful. 🗑️♻️

Gloucester’s new trash and recycling system is coming October 1, and yes, there are questions.

DPW Director Mike Hale breaks down what you actually need to know: why the city is making the switch, what the $300 annual fee covers, how those new carts will work on Gloucester’s very narrow streets, options for smaller carts and senior discounts, how to opt out, and even what to do with your old barrels.

Bottom line: New carts. New trucks. Same pickup day. A little adjustment period, and answers to some of the biggest questions residents have been asking. 🗑️

We were proud to partner with the City of Gloucester, MA to produce a video highlighting the housing challenges facing our community and the people impacted by them. The video premiered during the Housing Compass Community Forum this week and helped kick off an evening of thoughtful discussion as residents reviewed the draft plan and shared feedback on its recommendations.

Watch the Democratic Primary Debate for Massachusetts' 6th Congressional District live tonight at 6:30 PM on Channel 9.

Hosted by the North Andover Democratic Town Committee, this debate offers voters an opportunity to hear directly from the candidates ahead of the primary election. The 6th Congressional District includes Cape Ann, making this an important race for voters in Gloucester, Rockport, Essex, and Manchester-by-the-Sea.

The six Democratic candidates running to replace Seth Moulton are Beth Andres-Beck, John Beccia, Jamie Belsito, Dan Koh, Mariah Lancaster, and Tram Nguyen.

Yesterday downtown Rockport came alive for the incredible On the Town all day event! From live music and family activities to local shopping and dining, it was a wonderful evening celebrating the community and everything that makes Rockport so special.

Thank you to Rockport Music, the performers, local businesses, volunteers, and everyone who came out to make it such a memorable day. We loved capturing the fun!
