Sometimes making sure a student Starts the School Year Off on the Right Foot means finding exactly the right pair. đź‘źđź’š

One of our middle school students needed a specific type of sneaker to accommodate his unique shoe size and sensory needs. The right pair put us a little over budget, but thanks to our most recent generous donation, we were able to say YES!

This is exactly why every donation matters. It gives us the flexibility to meet each child where they are and make sure their sneakers aren’t just new, but comfortable and right for them.

A special THANK YOU to today’s generous donor!

Your kindness will allow us to purchase 4 pairs of brand-new sneakers for some of our youngest local students.

There’s something extra sweet about those little feet heading off to preschool in a brand-new pair of sneakers chosen just for them.

Gracias! Obrigado! Grazie! Thank you! No matter how you say it, we are so grateful for a community that continues to show up for our kids. Four more little ones will Kick the School Year Off on the Right Foot!

Yesterday's Art of Lunch was sponsored by Cape Ann Savings Bank which was from Causeway Restaurant - Gloucester, MA of chicken fingers, rice pilaf, garden salad and watermelon.

We have some amazing news! Thanks to a very generous donor, we now have enough to fund 4 MORE PAIRS OF SNEAKERS for local students!

That’s four more kids who will start the school year with brand-new sneakers, chosen especially for them based on their size and preferences. A pair that we hope makes them smile when they put them on. 💙

Kick Off the School Year Off on the Right Foot đź‘źđź’™

Do you remember that feeling? A brand-new pair of sneakers for the first day of school. Opening the box, seeing the color you picked, putting them on and feeling just a little more confident walking through those school doors.

Back-to-school shoes aren’t just something you buy. They’re a feeling.

But not every family has room in the budget for new sneakers at back-to-school time.

This year, through referrals from one of our trusted community partners, Together Gloucester is providing approximately 50 local students with brand-new sneakers, in colors and styles they’ll be excited to wear.

Because every child deserves that feeling too. đź’™

If you’d like to help, you can sponsor a pair of sneakers through Venmo. Every contribution helps us send another local student into the new school year with new shoes, a fresh start, and a little extra confidence.

Support Lifebridge's Grace Center and enjoy an evening of music and community at the Concert on the Meetinghouse Green! This series of free outdoor concerts is family-friendly. This week's Art of Lunch for Grace Center of Gloucester was donated by Beauport Hospitality Group 1606 Restaurant and Oyster Bar and chef Jordan. A delicious baked haddock, roasted potatoes , broccoli, garden salad and fruit.

Thank you Dru Tarr for State Representative and Nora Casadei, Communications Manager of Beauport Hospitality Group who served alongside Heidi and Monica.

Guests enjoyed Sea Shantys with Peter and Audi Souza and flowers were provided by Audrey's Floral and arranged by guests.
