🐾WAFFLES UPDATE

Our sweet boy WAFFLES, formerly known as SHAQ, has another wonderful milestone to celebrate!

Just days ago, Waffles was sitting at Devore Animal Shelter, facing euthanasia with only minutes left to live. Today, this handsome boy is safe, loved, and recovering from his successful neuter surgery!

We are happy to report that his surgery went well, and he’s now resting comfortably at his beautiful foster home, Reckless Love Ranch, where he continues to be surrounded by love, kindness, and incredible care.

Because of YOU, Waffles was given a second chance at life. Every donation, share, prayer, and encouraging message helped make his rescue possible. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who rallied behind this gentle giant when he needed us most.

A very special thank you to our wonderful friends at Reckless Love Ranch for opening their hearts and beautiful ranch to Waffles and providing him with a safe, loving place to heal.

Although his surgery was successful, Waffles still needs continued veterinary care, recovery support, nutritious food, and other essentials as he works toward becoming his healthiest, happiest self.

Donations are still welcomed and greatly appreciated! Every dollar helps us continue providing the care Waffles deserves.

🐾WAFFLES UPDATE: FROM DEATH ROW TO FREEDOM!

Formerly known as SHAQ, now proudly known as WAFFLES! Just days ago, Waffles was at Devore Animal Shelter, on the euthanasia list with only MINUTES LEFT TO LIVE! Thanks to our incredible rescue community and our heroes at Reckless Love Ranch, his life was SAVED!

Today, Waffles is thriving at his beautiful foster ranch, enjoying the freedom and love he almost never experienced! He’s incredibly sweet, loves meeting people, and enjoys exploring the ranch, especially visiting the pigs! 🐷

A HUGE thank you to Reckless Love Ranch for helping rescue Waffles and graciously opening their beautiful ranch and hearts to foster him. Because of their love and commitment, Waffles has a second chance at LIFE!

TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED SAVE WAFFLES, THANK YOU! Whether you donated, shared, or advocated for him, YOU helped make this miracle possible!

Waffles saw a vet immediately after leaving the shelter. Despite battling an upper respiratory infection (URI), the vet confirmed that he is an otherwise healthy boy!

He’s approximately 3 years old and weighs 93 pounds! His URI is improving significantly, and we’re thrilled to announce that he’s been CLEARED for his neuter surgery, scheduled for THIS FRIDAY!

🚨 OUR WORK ISN’T DONE YET!

With his surgery scheduled for THIS FRIDAY, we still need donations to cover his veterinary expenses, surgery, and continued care.

🚨 FROM DEATH ROW TO A SECOND CHANCE AT LIFE! 🚨

Just hours away from being euthanized at Devore Animal Shelter, Shaq was running out of time.

At the shelter, he was known as Shaq aka Inmate . But to us, he is now Waffles a beautiful, gentle giant whose life matters and who deserves a chance to be loved.

Sadly, his journey to recovery is just beginning. He left the shelter with an upper respiratory infection (URI) and needs immediate veterinary attention.

Waffle’s medical needs include:
🐾 A comprehensive veterinary examination
🐾 Continued treatment for his respiratory infection
🐾 Booster vaccinations
🐾 Neutering
🐾 Ongoing medical care to help him recover

We are incredibly grateful to our wonderful friends at Reckless Love Ranch for stepping up, transporting him out of the shelter, and welcoming him into their beautiful ranch as his foster home. Because of their compassion and willingness to help, Waffles now has a safe place to rest, recover, and experience the love he deserves. We couldn’t have done this without them!

Saving him from euthanasia was only the first step. Now comes the responsibility of providing the medical care he desperately needs.

GRACE HAS EARNED HER SUPERHERO CAPE! SHE’S ADOPTED!

Please join us in congratulating our beautiful hero GRACE on finding her FOREVER FAMILY!

Grace is officially adopted and joining a wonderful family who is beyond excited to welcome her into their lives!

But Grace’s happy ending almost never happened…

Grace and her sister were both scheduled to lose their lives at Baldwin Park Shelter. Thanks to an incredible foster family who stepped up when they needed someone most, these two precious girls were given a SECOND CHANCE AT LIFE!

Her sister is already living her best life with her forever family, and now it’s Grace’s turn to experience that same love, security, and happiness!

To Grace’s amazing foster family: THANK YOU!
Thank you for opening your hearts and home, for loving these girls, for caring for them, and for giving them the opportunity to have a future. You saved two lives and made two beautiful happy endings possible.

Our SCARS heroes could use a little Prime Day love!

As a 100% volunteer-run, foster-based rescue, we rely solely on the generosity of our supporters to continue caring for the dogs who come into our rescue. We do not have a facility or paid staff, every donation goes toward helping our heroes.

Many of our dogs are in foster care for weeks, months, and sometimes much longer while they heal and wait for their forever families. That means we are constantly in need of food, treats, p*e pads, cleaning supplies, medical supplies, beds, toys, and all the everyday essentials our foster families need to care for them.

Every single item helps. Whether it’s a small box of treats or much-needed supplies, it makes a difference and helps us stretch our rescue dollars even further.

💜 ELLIE IS READY FOR ADOPTION! 💜

Our tiny girl Ellie is officially ready to find her forever family, and she cannot wait to have a family of her very own for the holidays.

Ellie is 8 years old, about 7 lbs., and full of personality. She is incredibly sweet, affectionate, social, and loyal. She loves being close to her people, enjoys being carried like a baby, loves toys, loves her dog friends, and she is definitely a little foodie.

Ellie is also very smart. She is p*e-pad trained and goes outside to potty with her foster siblings. She gets along great with other dogs and would make a wonderful little companion.

Because Ellie does have separation anxiety, her ideal home would be with someone who is home most of the day or can provide her with plenty of companionship. She truly loves being near her person and thrives when she feels safe and included.

If you’re looking for a loving little shadow who will stay close, cuddle up, make you laugh, and love you wholeheartedly, Ellie may be your girl.

🚨 URGENT LOCAL FOSTERS NEEDED! 🚨

This sweet little family needs our help NOW. Mom is only 1 year old, and her two baby boys are just 3 months old. We are urgently looking for local foster homes in the San Gabriel Valley and surrounding Southern California areas.

They do not have to be fostered together, even opening your home to just one of them can save a life.

We provide the supplies, medical care, and support. You provide the shelter and love.

If you live in or near the San Gabriel Valley and can foster, please reach out ASAP. And if you can’t foster, please share this post so we can reach someone who can.
