Meet Thomas! Our friend, Thomas, was struggling to trust his current caregiver after his past trauma had closed him off to any possible connection. Meanwhile, his caregiver, Laura, was struggling to find housing before starting at her new job.
Our Wraparound Team knew that this case would require patience and compassion. After finding the family new housing and packing the space with essentials, we stayed with their family for an additional month, supporting them through this major transition.
Even when Thomas and his guardian graduated from our program, we were still there, gifts in hand, to celebrate their family's success. Now, Thomas and his caregiver can go out into the world knowing they can be open with each other and that they'll always have support. That's the Ettie Lee Difference!
