🙌 On Saturday, September 26th, NextGen members Lori Mehdikhani, Adrin Konarki and Ania Konarki held a drive at Ferrahian High School as part of their Ferrahian Olympics ceremony.
✨ Throughout the event, they were able to share ABMDR’s mission with the school community, raise awareness about the importance of joining the bone marrow donor registry, and meet the amazing students who run the ABMDR club at Ferrahian.
🙏 A big thank you to Ferrahian High School for allowing us to be a part of this amazing experience, and a special thank you to Talar Minassian for helping coordinate the opportunity and making sure we got the most out of our time there! 🩵

🙌 On Saturday, October 3, close to 400 supporters came to the Glendale City building plaza for ABMDR's 21st annual Walk of Life walkathon.

We were especially moved by how many young people took part. Teams came from AGBU Manoogian-Demirdjian School, Glendale Community College, Holy Martyrs Ferrahian High School, Pilibos, St. Francis High School, and many more.

In 1998, one patient’s search for a lifesaving donor helped inspire something that would change countless lives. ❤️
🙌 Alique Topalian was the first patient to reach out to us for help finding a bone marrow donor for her transplant.
At that time, the Armenian Bone Marrow Donor Registry did not yet exist, and we were unable to help her.
But Alique’s story sparked an idea: Armenian patients around the world needed a donor registry of their own.
Because of their unique genetic background, finding a compatible donor can be especially difficult through existing registries.

🙌 In 1999, Dr. Frieda Jordan, together with Dr. Sevak Avagyan, established the Armenian Bone Marrow Donor Registry in Yerevan and began its lifesaving work.

What started with one patient’s search became a mission to give Armenian patients a better chance of finding their match.
Today, we continue that mission — one donor, one match, one life at a time. And every step we take together helps move that mission forward.
