We are so thankful to St Andrew's Lutheran Church, West Los Angeles (ELCA) for hosting an incredible event benefitting our clients this past Saturday. We had a wonderful time tasting w**e from immigrant-owned vineyards, sampling chocolate from around the world and discussing IRC Los Angeles’ work with refugees and other newcomers to Southern California. St. Andrew’s has been a long-term partner of IRC-LA, and beyond the fundraising support they have helped provide in-kind donations like yoga mats for our mental health workshops and these beautiful handmade quilts from their quilting circles, which our clients absolutely love. Thank you for all that you do!

The United States announced today that it will primarily resettle Afrikaners from South Africa under a new refugee ceiling of 17,500 for fiscal year 2027. The administration did not allocate resettlement slots to refugees who fled danger from anywhere else in the world.

The U.S. resettlement program should welcome the world's most vulnerable, no matter where they’re from. Everyone deserves a safe place to call home.

Refugees need America, and America needs refugees.

Our team was honored to attend Threads of Resilience, a beautiful exhibition celebrating the artistry, resilience, and stories of women in the Neococo Collective Neococo Collective community. As a valued employment partner, we’re proud to support Neococo’s work creating meaningful opportunities for refugee and immigrant women. It was especially meaningful to see Maret, a former IRC financial capabilities client, showcasing her talent 💛
