Food for Thought 004-2: Avoid lowfat/nonfat cookies, crackers, etc. The lowered fat is generally substituted with other artificial fillers and preservatives to make up for taste and substance, sometimes leaving your body with a trail of toxic, overly-processed ingredients.. You also lose some of the nutritional value found in the natural form of the product. Instead, opt for full fat and skim down portion size or dilute it yourself.

Healthy Hot Spot 001: The Magic of Chlorophyll ~ Did you know that in addition to Chlorophyll's liver detoxification properties, it works as a natural deodorant for body odor? Tip for Tots 001: If your child has an ear infection, before beginning a harsh cycle of antibiotics, try a natural alternative and opt for a garlic oil treatment. Warm garlic oil in both ears will do wonders in the beginning phases of an ear infection and will generally keep the infection from growing.

Food for Thought 003-5: Going Organic on a Budget ~ Shop in bulk at your local Farmers Market or Co-op - Organic items are generally cheaper than a grocery store and you can get just the amount you need. You can purchase bulk grains for literal coins and bags of fresh herbs and produce for ¼ of what you pay in grocery stores. Check http://www.localharvest.org/ for co-ops and farmers markets near you.
