🔐 Gun Storage Check Week: A Simple Step Can Help Save a Life

This Gun Storage Check Week, Amplify is reminding families across the North Central region about one of the easiest ways to make fi***rm storage safer: secure fi***rms when they’re not in use.

Over the past year, Amplify has worked diligently to connect police departments throughout the North Central region with Project ChildSafe, helping make free fi***rm safety resources more accessible to the communities we serve.

🏠 Looking for a free gun lock?
Many local police departments participating in Project ChildSafe have free fi***rm safety locks available to community members. Stop by your local PD and ask about getting a free gun lock for your home.

Taking a few minutes to properly secure a fi***rm can help prevent unauthorized access and keep children, teens, visitors, and others safer.

📍 Contact your local police department today to find out if free gun locks are available.

Let’s make safe fi***rm storage part of every household’s safety check. 💙

💜 September is National Recovery Month 💜

Recovery is possible. Recovery is powerful. Recovery is worth celebrating.

This month, we honor every person walking the path of recovery, celebrate the courage it takes to ask for help, and recognize the families, friends, and communities who support the journey.

Recovery doesn’t look the same for everyone. It can be one day at a time, one choice at a time, one step at a time. What matters is that healing, hope, and a brighter future are possible.

Let’s break the stigma, lift each other up, and remind those who may be struggling that they are not alone. 💜

We're excited to share highlights from Amplify's second annual Camp LPC!

On July 22, prevention professionals from across Region 4 came together for a hands-on workshop exploring the Science of the Positive (SOTP) and Positive Community Norms (PCN) evidence-informed frameworks that help communities build on strengths and create healthier environments.

A special thank you to our facilitator from the Montana Institute, Stephanie Patton, for leading an engaging day of learning and practical application. Participants not only explored the science behind these approaches but also developed Positive Community Norms messages using data from their own communities.

We're looking forward to seeing these ideas put into action throughout the region!

We had a great time joining the Glastonbury Police Department for National Night Out alongside so many wonderful community organizations!

Amplify's Program Manager, Nicole Carango, and Program Coordinator, Hope Tibbetts, were proud to connect with community members, share information about the 988 Su***de & Crisis Lifeline, and highlight the many programs and services Amplify offers to support individuals and families.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table, asked questions, and helped make the evening such a success. We're grateful for opportunities like this to strengthen community connections, promote awareness, and remind everyone that support is always available.
