A citizens’ group called for CT to impose interstate highway tolls and a surcharge on millionaires’ earnings to finance property tax relief.

The citizens group hoping to reform Connecticut’s property tax system will release its recommendations Monday, hoping to force candidates for state offices to take positions before the election.

The CT Citizens Assembly on Property Taxes declined Comptroller Sean Scanlon's request to withhold its proposals until after the election.
