Way To Go Connecticut Way to Go CT connects older adults, veterans, and persons with disabilities to transportation options

The Way to Go program covers 37 towns in Greater Hartford and Tolland counties. Older adults, people with disabilities, and veterans can learn about transportation resources by using the interactive WaytoGoCT.com website or by contacting the Mobility Manager for personal assistance. The Mobility Manager provides education to agencies and residents about the available transportation options in the region and assesses needs to find solutions to transportation challenges.

It was great to meet so many community members at the 14th annual disability resource fair in Hartford. We also met so many dedicated colleagues from CT Transit and CT Rides. It was a pleasure to table together with Laurie McElwee of River Valley Transit. We were able to really touch base with our community today!

Governor Ned Lamont and Connecticut Transportation Commissioner Garrett Eucalitto today announced that the newly constructed Windsor Locks Train Station will open for CTrail Hartford Line and Amtrak service starting Sunday, October 18, 2026.

The new station relocates passenger rail and bus service from the south of the town’s downtown area to a central location near Main Street, close to housing, businesses, Windsor Locks Town Hall, and the Windsor Locks Public Library. It notably includes expanded bus service to Bradley International Airport, providing weekday and new weekend connections to the best airport in New England.
