🍕 Innovation + Entrepreneurship in Action! 🍕

On Friday, March 6, 2026, Junior Achievement of Eastern Ohio hosted another incredible JA Innovation Challenge, and it was a HUGE success! 🙌
In partnership with Pizza Joe's hosted at Kent State University at Trumbull, we welcomed over 200 young entrepreneurs who stepped into the world of business by creating their own pizza concepts—complete with branding, pricing, and sales pitches. 💡📊

🏆 1st Place
Lakeview Team 9 – “The Meat Express”

👏 As the winners, Pizza Joe’s will be visiting Lakeview to bring their pizza creation to life for the entire school to enjoy!

Future Business Leaders Shine at JA Titan Competition!

On Thursday, March 12, the JA Titan Competition held at Kent State University at Ashtabula — brought together student teams from across Ashtabula County for another engaging and impactful day of business simulation and competition.

This event featured teams representing Ashtabula County A-Tech, Conneaut High School and Grand Valley Local Schools. High school students demonstrated strong critical thinking, collaboration, and decision-making skills as they navigated the JA Titan business simulation and competed for scholarships and consolation prizes.

We’re honoring young leaders, innovators, and community champions ages 10–18 who attend school in Ashtabula County. Winners will be featured in the Gazette, on the JAEO website, and recognized at a special ceremony at Sheldon Calvary Camp in Conneaut on Tuesday, April 21, 2026.

Ashtabula Designer Bag Bingo: A Night to Remember!

Friday, November 14th at the Andrus Banquet Center was an incredible evening of excitement and generosity as Junior Achievement of Eastern Ohio’s Designer Bag Bingo surpassed last year’s fundraising totals!

A big thank-you to the Ashtabula County Board of Commissioners, our volunteers — Casey Kozlowski, Ashtabula County Commissioner, J.P. Ducro, Kathryn Whittington Ashtabula County Commissioner— and our emcee David Bucci Voice Talent, LLC for making the event unforgettable.
