We’re preparing a really special Mother’s Day dinner for widowed moms in our community 🤍

A space for them to be cared for, encouraged, and reminded they are not alone.

To make this night possible, we’re looking for volunteers to help love on their kids while the moms enjoy the evening.

✨ What we need:
• Kind, patient, loving people
• Comfortable watching young children
• Willing to complete a background check

This is such a meaningful way to serve — creating space for a mom to rest, breathe, and simply be cared for.

We’re gathering for a sweet evening of dinner, connection, and learning the art of sourdough together. This one is just for moms — a space to breathe, create, and be surrounded by women who understand.

There is something healing about working dough with your hands and remembering that beautiful things take time to rise.

Join us for a relaxed park playdate with other widowed mamas—where the coffee is on us, the kids can explore freely, and you don’t have to explain your story to feel understood.

We’re sharing this on behalf of a widow in our community who is currently looking for work.

She is an experienced social media manager with a background in:
• Working with realtors
• Nonprofits (The 100 Club of Arizona & Arizona Burn Foundation)
• Boutique marketing agencies

After the loss of her husband, she transitioned to full-time social media management to create a flexible, work-from-home schedule for her kids. A recent contract ended, and she’s actively looking to expand her portfolio and find new opportunities.

We’ll share dinner together and spend the evening talking through stewarding finances after loss, with practical guidance and an open Q&A for the real questions widows carry.

We’ll cover topics like:

✨ Meet Randy Willms — Director ✨

Randy Willms brings a lifetime of service, integrity, and compassion to Widows with Kiddos. A retired law enforcement officer from southeast Michigan, Randy has always felt a strong calling to serve others — whether through his career, volunteer work, or simply stepping in where help is needed most.

Over the years, Randy has participated in mission trips around the world, helping build homes, hospitals, and schools in underserved communities. Known for his ability to fix just about anything, Randy now uses those skills to help widows with home repairs and practical projects — easing burdens in very tangible ways.

Randy’s heart for this work is deeply personal. Raised by a mother who was widowed at a young age, he witnessed firsthand the challenges widows face. That experience shaped his desire to come alongside widows today with compassion, dignity, and steady support.

Randy has been married to his wife, Charlene, for 45 years this May. Charlene serves as the Vice President of Widows with Kiddos, and together they share a deep commitment to serving widows and families with love and faith.

As a Director with Widows with Kiddos, Randy is eager to continue serving widows through practical help, encouragement, and a heart that reflects integrity and care.

We are grateful to have Randy serving our widows and families.
