We had such a fun few visits with students at Foundation for Blind Children before they headed off for summer break! 🩵☀️

Alfredo 🐍 gave students the chance to explore the unique texture of his scales, while Maple and Archie joined in activities focused on gross motor skills, self-regulation, and play. 🐶

Thank you for another great school year. We hope everyone has a wonderful summer, and we can't wait to see you again in the fall! 🐾

Across three Hopebridge locations, Dotty, Rio, Krater, Merritt, Libby, Leo, Quincy, Peanut Butter, and Gracie spent time helping students work toward their goals. 🐇🐾🐓

Through activities focused on sensory processing, social participation, and self-regulation, students had opportunities to engage, interact, and build skills with the therapy teams right by their side.

We always enjoy our visits to Hopebridge and are looking forward to the next one! 💕🫶

One of our Program Coordinators, Hailey, recently shared this meaningful moment from a visit at VALLEYLIFE. 🩵

"At Valleylife, adult members with developmental disabilities work toward life skills and social participation goals in a supportive environment. Since introducing monthly Pawsitive Friendships visits earlier this year, members have had new opportunities to build connection, self-regulation, and engagement in a natural, motivating way.

For one member who often requires ongoing hand-under-hand support during activities, staff began noticing small but meaningful shifts during Pawsitive Friendships sessions.

During a recent session, that progress became especially clear.

With Ellie Mae, the Saint Bernard lying at his feet, the member made the decision to engage independently—without prompting or physical support. What stood out most wasn’t just the interaction itself, but the sustained engagement that followed. The member remained calm, regulated, and actively involved for several minutes, demonstrating a level of independence and focus not previously observed.

Through a consistent, low-pressure environment, Pawsitive Friendships builds confidence while supporting social participation and motor skill development—foundational skills that translate into greater independence in daily life. We are excited to see the members continue to reach their goals!"

A huge congratulations to our logo on graduating from Arizona College Prep 🎓🩵

Watching him grow up alongside Pawsitive Friendships has been something really special, and we could not be more proud of this milestone and everything he has accomplished.

Congratulations graduate, and good luck as you start at ASU this fall! 🎉

Happy Retirement to one of our Tucson therapy teams, Janice and Duffy! 🫶🐾

Duffy the Scottish Terrier brought such a fun little personality to his sessions. He loved meeting new people and always had his own way of doing things that made everyone smile. We are so thankful for the care, time, and heart that Janice and Duffy shared with Pawsitive Friendships and the individuals they visited. They will both be greatly missed.

Wishing them a very happy retirement filled with relaxation, fun, and plenty of treats for Duffy. 💕

Kenny, Archie, Rio, Jax, Oakley, Moosie, Libby, Scout, Winnie, and Cali have all been part of sessions with students at the Foundation for Blind Children Central campus over the past few visits 🩵

Students loved meeting Cali on her first visit and are already excited for her to come back again. Oakley has also built a special connection with the group, her presence helping even more timid students feel comfortable and settle in.

We’re looking forward to being back! 🐾

Across multiple VALLEYLIFE locations, there’s been a lot of time spent with Murphy, Dice, Scout, Molly, Dotty, Monty, Ellie Mae, Libby, and Leo. 🥰🐶

Members have been working on social participation, motor skills, fine motor, motor planning, and visual processing through different activities, with plenty of walks, games, and interaction along the way. Monty got a birthday celebration during one visit, and Leo had a really special first time meeting a new group!

So many moments that made these sessions memorable. 🐾

Happy Mother’s Day 🩷🐾

To the moms, caregivers, and pet moms, thank you for everything you do day in and day out. The support, encouragement, and love you give makes a bigger impact than most people ever see.

We’re grateful for all of you.

Over the past few sessions at Madison Simis Elementary, Dice, Archie, and Molly have all spent time with students. 🩵🐾🐶

There was a mix of pet size sorting, brushing, playing fetch, and plenty of high fives worked into each visit. Students stayed involved, took turns, and kept things moving while working on visual processing and social participation.

A lot of good moments throughout these sessions. 🐾

Chelone the sulcata tortoise, Walter the French Lop rabbit, Daphne the English Cocker Spaniel, and Vlad the bearded dragon spent time with students at Autism Academy for Education & Development in Tucson over these last few sessions. 🐢🐰🦎

Each therapy team brought something different into the session, and the students met them with patience and focus while working on sensory processing, visual processing, and fine motor skills. 🐾
