Addiction is not an identity. Find out why Hope for Addiction is different and and join us at a Recovering Hope meeting. Connect your desire to change with the Power to change. Hope for Addiction, Inc. is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization helping people who struggle with addictions to find hope and freedom through the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ using practical tools, discipleship and int

egration into the local church. Hope for Addiction believes that God’s Word is sufficient for all things (2 Timothy 3:15-17). This is not a “step program” with rituals or checklists; instead, our mission is to help people engage with the Savior who can rescue all. This mission is accomplished through the power of Christ, which has given us everything for life and godliness through knowledge of Him who called us (2 Peter 1:3).

We tend to let fear drive our decisions and actions. And for many of us, fear becomes a temptation to escape, numb, isolate, control, or use.

But God does not ask us to ignore our fears. He invites us to bring them to Him.

In Recovering Hope meetings, we ask honest questions that help uncover what is underneath our fear so we can fight those struggles with truth instead of escape. And with the help of other who understand.

You do not have to navigate fear alone. Come to a Recovering Hope meeting.

“God helps those who help themselves.” We hear it all the time.
It sounds right. It feels motivating. But it’s not in the Bible.

Scripture actually warns us about trusting ourselves, because left to ourselves... we drift.

That's why He gave us His Word.
And He gives us other people to remind us of his word.

If you don't have others to help remind you, join a Recovering Hope meeting:

NEW EPISODE! Have you ever thought, "I just want someone to make the decision for me?" God is not a God of confusion, but of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33). When life feels chaotic, overwhelming, and exhausting, that's not how we were designed to live. There’s a kind of weight that comes from having to make every decision on your own, all day long when you don't have a routine or structure in your life. It leads to burnout, stress, and survival mode. But when structure is put into place and guardrails are installed, what once felt restrictive starts to feel like peace.
This isn't control, it's care.

When it comes to addiction, there are a lot of “models” out there. The real question is: Do we actually believe that the power of the gospel is enough, and that it speaks directly and practically into the realities of addiction/sin? Listen to the full episode to see how Liz wrestled through rejected the 12 step model wherever you get your podcasts. youtu.be/qr9yYefkFXs
