We couldn't be more proud of our CEO Christine Ellis who was recently named one of Arizona's 20 most inspiring women of 2011!
Tirelessly working on behalf of the poor and disadvantage in Haiti, Ellis commented on her most recent recognition by stating “I believe to whom much is given much is required, because I have been giving such a wonderful opportunity in turn I need to create opportunities for others whether here in The USA or abroad and as an organization we here at HDRA are committed to serving all who are in need and to do it with dignity. Thank you!”

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the sudden passing of Daniel Pollack, son of Michael Pollack. Daniel was killed in a hit and run accident in Scottsdale on Sunday, September 11th. Michael and Daniel Pollack were instrumental in helping to fund and develop the Haitian Disaster Relief of Arizona (HDRA) and the Pollack Haitian Hope Center located in Mesa, Arizona and with their continued support over the past two years HDRA has been able to continue its work in Haiti. In June, just a few months ago, Daniel was Master of Ceremonies at HDRA’s fundraising gala and we know that without his support and commitment that event would not have been possible. HDRA has lost a great and dear friend and from the entire HDRA family, the Pollack Haitian Hope Center board members, staff and volunteers we extend our deepest condolences to the entire Pollack family, his friends and co-workers. We appeal to anyone who may have seen or heard yesterday’s tragic event to please contact the police with any information you may have no matter how small, your information could help. Arizona has lost one of its brightest stars. Daniel Pollack, son of Arizona, friend of Haiti. He will be forever missed.
